In 1973, after having worked at the Tucson Clinic for two years, Dr. Albert S. Callie decided to open a private pediatric practice in Tucson. Dr. Callie had moved with his wife Joyce and three children to Tucson in 1971, from Ohio (they both grew up in Pennsylvania). His practice grew and thrived, with the support of dedicated staff and families who have been Dr. Callie's patients for multiple gen

erations. In 1997, Dr. Callie's son Albert joined the practice and the office moved a few blocks east, to the current location. Today, our provider team also includes Nurse Practitioners Erin Cowan and Nicole Bencs. We are currently in the final stages of expanding and renovating our office space, to better serve a growing number of children and families in our community!

With profound sadness, we share that our beloved Dr.Albert S. Callie,Sr., founder of Callie Pediatrics in 1973, passed away at home Wed, March 12, after a fall and head injury.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, March 29 at 10 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1800 Pio Decimo, Tucson, Arizona.
