As of today, Catalyst Physical Therapy is officially closed. 😭

This little clinic has meant so much to me. What started as a dream to create a space where women could feel heard, understood, and truly cared for turned into something even more meaningful because of all of you. It has been an incredible privilege to walk alongside so many patients through their healing journeys.

Thank you for trusting me with your care, your stories, and your goals. Seeing you return to the things you love—whether that’s exercising without pain, jumping on a trampoline with your kids without leaking, or simply feeling like yourself again—has been the most rewarding part of this work.

While Catalyst is now closed, I will still be seeing a limited number of patients part-time at Full Circle Physical Therapy beginning in mid-April. If you would like to continue care with me, you can reach out to them directly to schedule.

Today is my last day in my clinic...I'm not crying, you're crying 😭

Closing the doors to Catalyst Physical Therapy has been emotional in ways I didn’t fully expect.

Caring for my patients has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Every story shared, every breakthrough moment, every tear of joy or pain, every time someone realized their body was capable of healing again—those moments are what made this work so meaningful to me. Being trusted with such vulnerable and personal parts of people’s lives is something I will never take lightly.

So many of the people who came to Catalyst arrived feeling dismissed, frustrated, or like they just had to ā€œlive with it.ā€ Watching them regain confidence in their bodies—returning to exercise, motherhood, intimacy, and daily life without pain or fear—has been the most rewarding part of my career.

While this chapter is closing, the mission behind Catalyst isn’t ending. In many ways, it’s expanding.

I’m stepping into a new role teaching in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Arizona, where my goal is to help train the next generation of physical therapists to provide exceptional, empathetic, whole-person care. I’m especially passionate about bringing more pelvic health knowledge into the profession and helping more PTs feel confident treating these often-overlooked conditions.

Our communities need more providers who truly listen.
More providers who understand the complexity of the body.
More providers who are capable of thinking outside of the box.
More providers who see a person behind the symptoms.

If Catalyst PT helped even a small part of that movement grow, then it has done exactly what I hoped it would.

To every patient who trusted me with your care, and to the providers who trusted me to care for your patients—thank you. You will always be part of this story and a part of my heart. šŸ¤

I’m writing to share some bittersweet news about Catalyst Physical Therapy.

I have been offered a full-time faculty teaching position in the University of Arizona’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program. If you know me at all, you know how deeply I love teaching—this opportunity truly represents a dream role for me.

With accepting this position, I will be closing Catalyst Physical Therapy at the end of March.

This decision did not come easily. Catalyst has been such a meaningful part of my life, and it has been an absolute honor to be part of your healing journeys. I am incredibly grateful for the trust you placed in me, the relationships we built, and the support you’ve shown me and this practice over the years.

If you are currently receiving care and need to continue elsewhere, I am more than happy to help coordinate a transfer of care to other trusted providers in our community. If you have any questions about your plan of care or next steps, please feel free to email me directly.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing me to be a part of your lives. Catalyst exists because of you, and I will carry this community with me into this next chapter.

With deep gratitude,
Amber Bartz, PT, DScPT

šŸ’¦ You notice leaking, pressure, or discomfort during workouts or daily activities
šŸŖ‚ You feel disconnected from your core after pregnancy or surgery

Your symptoms deserve more than quick fixes. Pelvic health physical therapy looks at the whole body to understand the root cause of issues like leaking, pelvic pain, back pain, pressure, or core weakness so you can experience lasting improvement.

At Catalyst Physical Therapy your sessions are individualized, hands on, and education focused so you understand your body and feel empowered in your recovery.

If you have been wondering whether pelvic health therapy is right for you, this is your reminder that you do not have to figure it out alone!

Hi, I am Dr. Amber, and Catalyst Physical Therapy was created from a simple belief that patients deserve time, compassion, and truly individualized care.

I wanted a space where people could feel heard, supported, and empowered to understand their bodies. A place where healing is not rushed and where education is just as important as treatment.

Every day I am grateful to work with people through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, injuries, and life transitions. Thank you for trusting Catalyst with your care and for being part of this growing community!

What makes Catalyst Physical Therapy different?

We believe your care should never feel rushed. Every 60-90 minute session is one on one with your physical therapist in a private treatment room so you receive focused attention, individualized treatment, and space to ask questions.

Our goal is to understand the root cause of your symptoms, not just treat the surface level pain. That means thoughtful assessment, hands on care, movement education, and a plan designed specifically for you.

If you are looking for a more personal and collaborative approach to physical therapy, you are in the right place. 🫶

Pelvic floor symptoms are common, but they are not something you just have to live with!

Leaking with exercise. Pain with intimacy. Pressure or heaviness. Core weakness that never quite improves.

These are signs that your body may need more support, not signs that something is ā€œjust part of life.ā€ At Catalyst Physical Therapy we look at the whole body, not just one area, to help you move, feel, and function better with confidence.

Pelvic health physical therapy is for women, men, athletes, parents, and anyone who wants to understand their body better.

If you have been wondering whether your symptoms are normal, this is your reminder that you deserve answers!

February is Heart Health Month ā¤ļø

Your heart is with you through every moment, busy days, quiet mornings, deep breaths, and belly laughs.

Taking care of your heart doesn’t have to be complicated. It can look like
moving your body in ways you enjoy, pausing to breathe and reset, choosing foods that nourish (not restrict), prioritizing rest and recovery and staying connected to people who fill your cup.

Heart health is about the small, daily choices that support you long term... not perfection.

This month, consider it an invitation to check in with yourself and show your heart a little extra love!

ā¤ļø One step at a time.
ā¤ļø One habit at a time.
ā¤ļø You’re worth it.

01/30/2026

Pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) affects about 40% of women during their lifetime, with the risk increasing with age, childbirth, and other factors. Conditions like urinary incontinence, f***l incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse are common types of PFD.

Though less prevalent in men, it can still occur, especially related to conditions like chronic prostatitis or post-prostate surgery. The prevalence of PFD significantly impacts quality of life, especially in older adults.

When it comes to symptoms of pelvic floor disorders such as urinary leakage, it is sometimes thought to be "normal" especially after having babies or when getting older.

But I am here to tell you that losing control of your bladder IS NOT NORMAL and there are things you can do to fix it!

That's where pelvic health physical therapy saves the day by:

Normalizing muscle tone (not just ā€œstrengthenā€)
Improving coordination with breathing and movement
Reducing pain
Restoring confidence in your body
Return to exercise, work, and intimacy without fear or symptoms

Your pelvic floor is foundational to how you move, feel, and function every day. When it’s working well, you don’t think about it. When it’s not, it affects quality of life in a big way.

Call 520-222-6928 and schedule your evaluation today!
