* * * “Although there are many factors, the most progress is made with practice outside of a therapy session. Consistency across environments and family partnership are critical in a child’s success.”

* “I was a competitive gymnast growing up and having a deaf teammate is what introduced me into the speech world. I’ve wanted to be a speech therapist since I was 12.” 🥹

* “I love spending time camping, paddle boarding, or riding out in the forest… but am terribly allergic to pine trees 😂 worth it!”

What is something you wish people knew about speech therapy/therapist?
* “I wish/hope that people know about and have access to all the ways SLPs support our community, from the day old infant to those in the sunset of life. The list of ways SLPs can specialize and support people is enormous, and goes far beyond our “speech and language” title!”
