Stress, Anxiety, Depression. What do they mean?

Leer en Español: https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1272066433559486&set=a.188940815205392

STRESS manifests itself in intermittent states of alertness that exceed convenient survival limits and that involve sensations of fear or anguish. The most common causes of stress, real or imagined, are situations of instability, risk or danger. Its permanence depends on its triggers and the level of resistance varies from one individual to another. Primary focus: the present.

ANXIETY can derive from stress and sometimes be confused with it. The anxious personality finds stressful reasons everywhere, so the undesirable condition becomes permanent. Anxiety takes on a life of its own, the triggers, real and imaginary, are so many that they are almost impossible to identify. Primary focus: the future.

DEPRESSION manifests itself in constant states of apathy, nostalgia, sadness, until it degenerates into a lack of interest in life and, in severe cases, emotions of anger or envy when witnessing the happiness of others. Although it is not the only one, depression is the mental condition most associated with su***de. Primary focus: the past.

LOW SELF-ESTEEM IN A COUPLE RELATIONSHIP
"What I called love was just insecurity and fear of loneliness"

Some people with low self-esteem need to be in a relationship to feel loved, useful and valuable. The old idea of "I deserve respect only if I have a partner" has not completely disappeared from the collective mind, even from some people who strive to appear strong and independent.

However, in certain cases, living in a relationship does not seem to be the solution, since such a situation, far from helping, can increase the idea of low self-esteem, to the extent that there are people who have dedicated their entire lives to a relationship where the only thing that unites them is a destructive feeling of low self-esteem, manifested by the fear of being alone or not being sufficiently respected in society. They have spent their entire lives believing that feeling is "love".

Maria (fictitious name), came to my office declaring to be "in love", but inexplicably sad and unsatisfied. During our first interview, I noticed something she didn't know yet, but that she would understand a few weeks later, that is, that she was far from being in love, but that she was living scared at the prospect of being alone.

Through the time regression technique, I found the causes of that condition well installed in my patient's subconscious mind, in her childhood and adolescence. At an early age, she had learned certain things: brushing her teeth, the name of her street, taking her dog for a walk, because they were once explained. She had also learned that she was stupid and "good for nothing", because the adults she lives with told her constantly during that time. Already in adolescence, she was a mediocre student and later, something happened that she considered a great luck: to meet a man who was interested in her, who spoke to her as nobody had ever done and wanted to marry her. What may have been the end of Maria's low self-esteem, became a situation where she accepted, as something natural and inevitable, to be treated as an inferior being and to occupy a kind of background in her husband's life.

Maria, like most human beings, did not know herself. He thought that she was what he had been told since he used reason: a sinner by nature, helpless and always in need of forgiveness and help from external entities. She had also been told that she had no need to think because everything was already written and answered, that she should limit herself only to learning what had already been analyzed and approved by others, that asking too much, or disagreeing, would make her an uncomfortable and undesirable being.

In Clinical Hypnosis of Arizona, we focus our emotional therapy on the awakening of consciousness, on the full recognition of our superior nature, in other words, on self-knowledge, as the only way to recover and preserve physical, emotional and spiritual stability, as well as the wisdom that belongs to us and that remains expectant to be discovered in our unconscious.

I will never forget Maria's words when saying goodbye to me, at the end of our last interview: "Now I understand that what I called ¨love" was just insecurity and fear of being alone", she said with a hopeful smile on her face. As I watched her go, I knew that no one could hurt her again.

THE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCE
How does it affect adult life?

Jose G. Montano
Clinical Hypnotherapist

Carlos and Martín (fictitious names), are twins; they lived their childhood and adolescence under the influence of a father who abused them, both physically and verbally. They are currently 48 years old, and have separate and distinct lives, in the broadest sense.
Carlos is in jail purging an eight-year sentence for domestic violence; once free, it is likely that he will not recover his marriage nor the custody of his two children; meanwhile, Martin lives in New York, he is married and has three children; he is currently working in a government institution dedicated to the detection and protection of abused children.
How does childhood determine our adult lives? Are we a direct consequence of what we live in the past? The story of Carlos and Martín proves that it is not so. "WE ARE NOT A DIRECT CONSEQUENCE OF OUR EXPERIENCES, BUT IN THE WAY HOW WE MANAGE THOSE EXPERIENCES."
You may have woken up this morning grumpily, and with the certainty that this would be a bad day. You have only two options, to have a fatal day, during which everything went wrong and you would have preferred to stay at home to ruminate your negativity alone, or on the contrary, that bad morning mood could have stimulated (and challenged you) to have the best day of your life, with the best expectations and intelligently facing any adversity.
In the same way, we are all carriers of countless experiences corresponding to the recent and remote past time of our lives, fortunate events that stimulated us to overcome, as well as other traumatic events that devalued our abilities and put at risk a healthy emotional development. Some events remain fresh in our memory, others we have forgotten, but, if the opposite of forgetting is to remember, then, how to pe*****te the depths of the subconscious mind to relive those days, full of incidents, people, places, sounds, flavors, aromas and tactile sensations of the past?
In Clinical Hypnosis of Arizona we apply the Regression in Time technique, with the purpose of finding the causes of any behavior or situation of the individual, especially those that due to their destructive nature it is necessary to change, such as addiction, overweight, anxiety, stress, depression, fear, phobia, low self-esteem, etc.

THE POWER OF SELF HEALING
Can I heal myself?

Can you cure me? It is the first question that most of my patients ask me. My answer is always the same: NO, I don't have the ability to heal people, but I can show you the way to recover your unique and individual ability to heal yourself, a wisdom that belongs to us naturally, that we have practiced in the remote past, but for certain circumstances, we have forgotten.

Miguel (fictitious name), who was my patient a few years ago, used to take a prescription medication every day to fight a chronic headache that had afflicted him for decades. His wife, who surely knew something about the placebo effect, decided to change that medication for harmless mint tablets, similar in appearance. Mysteriously, Miguel's headache disappeared as quickly as when he was taking the prescribed drug.

The subconscious mind of that man had no information that he was consuming a substance that was not his usual medicine, so it fought the headache by itself, without any drug intervention. Therefore, since my patient was not aware of that change made by his wife, he was completely unaware of the healing power of his mind, but not only that, he gave away that power and placed it on something external, in this case, in his medication .

Most of us do the same thing every day, we ignore our power, in every imaginable aspect of our lives, not just in cases of healing, and we always place it on something or someone else.

For nine more years, Miguel continued taking those mint tablets that, according to him, relieved his discomforts. When he discovered the deception, the headache returned, which is proof of our numbed mental power.

In Clinical Hypnosis of Arizona, we base our hypnotic therapy on self-knowledge, on putting into practice all the infinite power that remains numb in us, as the only way to begin the path of awareness.

"Every time you need to believe in someone, start by believing in yourself."

CLINICAL HYPNOSIS TO KNOW
THE HEALING POWER OF THE HUMAN MIND

Ricardo (not his real name) used to take a prescribed medication to control a chronic headache that had afflicted him for decades. One day, his wife decided to substitute that medication for harmless vitamin tablets of similar appearance. Miraculously, Ricardo's headache disappeared as quickly as when he used the prescription drug.
The man's mind did not know that his medication had been suspended, so he healed the headache by himself, without outside help; all that happened unconsciously. Ricardo did the same as many of us, he ignored the healing power of his mind, and he attributed that power to factors beyond his control.
Several years later, Ricardo discovered the deception, and the healing effect disappeared. He went to my office trying to reverse the process, that is, to make his mind continue to disappear the headache by itself; he did not want to go back to the medicines, once it had been shown, that they were not necessary to make his discomfort disappear.
My patient's mind already knew how to do that, in fact, it had healed the headache itself for years, but, in an unconscious way. Now, Ricardo wanted to heal using the healing power of his mind, but this time, consciously, that is, knowing that he did not take any medication, and that the healing depended exclusively on him.
In Clinical Hypnosis of Arizona, informing our patients about the healing power of the human mind is daily practice. In a hypnotherapy session, when the patient is directed by a qualified professional, and when the approach includes the human being in its totality, that is, Body-Mind-Spirit; we can awaken awareness of the true power of our mind, that is, our natural ability to control our lives, whatever the focus.
Our therapy, of energetic / subtle nature, is based on personal exploration to reach self-knowledge, considered as the only way to obtain and preserve physical and emotional stability, beyond temporary solutions and substances with palliative effects.

Did you know that our mind can return to the past, either to the womb, to our childhood, or some other stage lived, through Clinical Hypnosis?
The adult that we are now, is a direct consequence of our experiences, for that reason, the causes of any situation that we live in today, are rooted in our subconscious.
In Hypnotherapy, the purposes of accessing such depths of the human psyche are strictly therapeutic, since, generally, human beings have outstanding accounts with our past, and with the people with whom we share it.
Forgive, be forgiven, amend mistakes, clarify doubts, accept what we consider unacceptable, end unfinished conversations, comfort ourselves for the absence of loved ones; everything is possible for the human mind, once the hypnotic process is understood, especially when it is guided by a professional specialized in this type of therapy, and when the therapist / patient relationship is based on love and respect.
Any addiction, fear, phobia, resentment, low self-esteem, insecurity, hidden desire, fixation, uncontrolled anger; everything that we consider undesirable in our personality, that which is notorious for others as that which we do not show to the world, sometimes, not even to ourselves; it has a hidden origin in our past, commonly in childhood, when we begin to explore the world and accept everything we see and hear as absolute truths that will influence us in adult life. Such undesirable aspects, and many others that are not mentioned here, act in our subconscious as "frightening monsters" that manipulate our lives and base their power on our ignorance.
The greatest weakness of these manipulative forces is that we detect their presence and that we are aware of the infinite power of our mind, that is, that we become aware of who we really are, beyond our human condition, that is, eternal beings and manifestations of The Absolute, from where everything comes.
At Clinical Hypnosis of Arizona, we base our therapy on the totality of the human being: Body-Mind-Spirit. We promote in our patients the idea that the only way to obtain and preserve physical, emotional and mental stability, is through self-knowledge.

CLINICAL HYPNOSIS FOR ADDICTION CONTROL

Addictions: sugar, alcohol, caffeine, ni****ne, ma*****na, co***ne, methamphetamines, etc., have their origin rooted in the subconscious of the individual; therefore, control methods that consider only the physiological aspect (detoxification) are incomplete.
I have always considered professional negligence the discharge of an addict, after a process of detoxification, and abandon them to their fate, without addressing the mental / emotional aspect that led them to develop their addiction.
In my practice, I have had the opportunity to attend to alcoholics and drug addicts, who have completed a detoxification process, who have resumed their daily routine presenting a state of anxiety much higher than that with which they started it.
They invariably seek the same places and the company of the same people, where and with whom they became addicted; all of the above, without following an emotional therapy.
This would be equivalent, with variations in each case, to subjecting an ordinary person to a process of detoxification through a prolonged fast. Imagine yourself, after a week without any food, exposed to the temptation of your favorite dish, under the strict order of: "you can not eat or drink absolutely anything"; both your body and your mind will immediately tell you "eat"; and you will eat, irremediably. Imagine now an addict, totally detoxified, who has not consumed any addictive substance in weeks, exposed to the temptation of her-his favorite drug.
In Clinical Hypnosis of Arizona, our therapy is of a scientific / esoteric nature, and represents the possibility, through hypnosis, of accessing the subconscious of the individual, not only to find the origins of an addiction or undesirable behavior, also to establish the bases of an integral recovery, attending to the human being in its totality: Body-Mind-Spirit.
Our professional mission consists in encouraging in our patients the knowledge of themselves, of who we really are, beyond our human condition. Once we become aware of our greatness, any undesirable situation in our lives will tend to weaken.
What every addict should know is that their recovery is possible, as long as they have the sincere desire to achieve it.

THE THERAPEUTIC POWER OF FORGIVENESS

Rodolfo (not the real name), sought treatment for a problem of alcoholism and depression that had tormented him for more than a decade. He had lost his wife and only son in a fatal car accident, caused by a drunk driver.
A friend told him about clinical hypnosis, he contacted us and we started a recovery program; a case of love and hate, but above all, of desire for revenge, which demonstrates the therapeutic power of forgiveness.
The first time I mentioned the need to forgive, my patient violently left my office. Despite several attempts to contact him, we did not see him again until two months after that incident. One day, he returned without a prior appointment, he was furious and depressed. The first thing he said, before being questioned, was: "I will never be able to forgive him ...".
Forgive, I told Rodolfo, is the best way to free a prisoner, and discover that the prisoner ... is you.
After several sessions of Hypnotherapy, that man experienced a real awakening of consciousness, he forgave the murderer of his family and understood the true meaning of physical death; in addition, after a therapeutic process of acceptance, he had an emotional detachment from loved ones who were no longer present. I can remember when he said: "Now I understand and accept that I must let them follow their paths".
I would miss my professional ethics if I said here that Rodolfo's life has become a constant party and that he has forgotten his past; of course it has not been like that. What I can say is that, after the spiritual experience of forgiving and accepting physical death, my patient overcame her addiction to alcohol and now works as a volunteer in a governmental institution dedicated to preventing drunk people from driving their cars . "Sharing the streets and roads with drunk drivers endangers the lives of thousands of innocent people. I do not want anyone to suffer what I suffered ... ", Rodolfo told me, in our farewell session.
