Pisces Lunar Eclipse

During this time, the aspect signatures and planetary placements of the chart for the total lunar eclipse signify an opportunity for growth and change. The energy will be in effect for the next 5-6 months.

THE SYMBOLISM:
The Dragon’s head, also known as the North Node of Fate, is conjunct the Moon in Pisces. This is about a time of heightened emotional processing. You may notice more sensitivity to your and other’s emotions.

As Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac, it represents surrender, letting go, and merging with the collective unconscious. This is the place where the spiritual meets the material realms. With the Moon in Pisces we sojourn to the heavens, take a glimpse at the divine and gather nuggets of wisdom to bring back to our mundane lives. What inspirational messages are you ready to incorporate?

It's time to level up.

In a way, this time is like a hat-tip to Pisces.

It’s an acknowledgement that we are spiritual beings tasked with learning, growing, and advancing while we are here living a material existence. We are here to raise our vibration, to grow in spiritual awareness, and to prepare ourselves for the next spiritual plane.

DARK MOON: Practical Magic & Intentions

I love new beginnings and setting intentions.

The dark moon moves into alignment in the early degrees of Virgo tonight. As Virgo is associated with practicality, logic, and order. This weekend would be a great time to tidy up before we start the next phase. How good it feels to sweep out the old and welcome in the new.

There are three planets in the early degrees of their signs making connections. Saturn and Uranus are in a sextile aspect bringing the two rulers of Aquarius into a conversation. Saturn is structure and responsibility, while Uranus breaks new ground. One is the traditional ruler and the other is the modern. This signals an opportunity to come together for inspired growth. What in your life could use adjusting? What old way could use an infusion of the new blended into the equation?

Saturn and Neptune dipped into Aries a few months ago as we have been nudged to bring discipline to your spiritual practices. These two are currently retrograde; we internalize the planetary impetus. Are you taking time for your spiritual practice? Are you in meditation daily, or journaling? It’s a good time to double-down.

The planet of the underworld, Pluto, is symbolic of the power to make changes as he flows in connection with Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus. These aspects reflect the sweeping, changeable energy we see today.

On a personal note, see where this new beginning, the new seed being planted, lands in your chart at zero degrees of Virgo. Set a new intention for yourself. As the new moon sheds what the dark goddess releases, she makes room for the new to emerge. Change begins with a desire fueled by intentions.

This Moon feels more comfortable with the social sphere than the emotional one. Luna is traveling in the sky with Pallas Athena during this full moon phase. She is the goddess of wisdom and strategic warfare. She is a protector and wise, and this lunation is colored by her creative, clear intellect.

There is wisdom in being able to detach and observe from a distance to obtain clarity. At this time you may be confused by the complex and diversity of possibilities. Yet, crystal clear intellect is a gift, even if there are a lot of choices. As she is retrograde, wait to take action until the nuances begin to point the way.

Lean into Change

Water Trine - Deep Inner Landscape

Right now, we have a juicy water grand trine that informs us about our deep inner landscape. Vesta and Juno signal an intense flavor to relationships. This may show up as jealousy, trust issues, or possessiveness if not expressed in a healthy way, or it can be a deep commitment and passion. There is a need to balance the inner disequilibrium.

Venus and Jupiter cue pleasure and harmony on the home front. Relationships are our greatest mirror, and there is a fated quality to them. Tend the home fires with a compassionate heart and make time for laughter. This is a great antidote if there is a tinge of jealousy going on in your relations. The sweetness is the antidote to the sour. Maybe someone needs a big bear hug.

Air Trine / Kite

Simultaneously, we have an air trine between Pluto, Uranus and Mars. These change agents are working in tandem to bring transformation, but have arrived as social chaos. Change occurs after great strife and the release of what no longer works. This is clearly a part of our collective at the moment and we must ride this tide of energy.

This trine is part of a kite configuration with Neptune and Saturn. The dynamic tension acts like a bow, just prior to release. This is about taking action on your ideal vision. Saturn spans the spectrum between discipline and limitation. Neptune can represent the highest form of the ideal vision or it can be an illusion. There is a spiritual quality to this time that is reflected in the symbolism.

We are at a turning point and need to hold the vision of what we would like to see in the world. It feels so overwhelming at times, yet we do hold a creative vision for the future in our hands.

Full Moons are the culmination of a cycle. The completion and wrap up of the last cycle.

Two Eclipses are Coming Up!

On a soul level, so much change is occurring and this month, the energy is wild.

We have two eclipses coming up in September, that are already casting a trace of palpable energy. Uranus, Pluto and Mars are potent players to be connected! Rebellion, change, disruption-- is our new norm. These are heady times. This is the flavor of our times, but it is ever changing that is for sure. Hold the light within.

Libra Full Moon @ 23° 19’

Chiron is cuddled up with the Aries Sun that feels touchy. During this time, you may feel quite sensitive and vulnerable to your own infallibility. Lessons about the ego, the person you strive to be are left with a reminder that you cannot do it all alone.

There is beauty in vulnerability as it leaves a piece of you defenseless. It is a moment of weakness that draws the right people to step in on your behalf. Maybe it is a kindness, an acceptance that is often missing when you are too strong, too walled off, or too protected to let others in.

In these moments, you witness a crack in the armor that needs repair. Who will come to your aid? Will you let them?

The beauty of a Libra Moon is that it reminds us of the harmony of relationships. No man is an island unto himself. Come down from your isolated tower and join with another. Take a chance on the beauty of enjoying time with others.

WHAT’S AN ECLIPSE?

In ancient cultures, a solar eclipse was an event that was met with fear. What occurs is a momentary “black out,” an interruption of life-sustaining light. Without understanding what is happening, this would be frightening. In our era of scientific knowledge, most understand the basics of the solar system and the cyclical planetary motions.

This time, there is a partial solar eclipse, and it will be visible in part of the Northern Hemisphere. The Northeastern US will have a limited view, while the upper regions of Canada, Greenland, and Russia — all areas close to the North Pole will have the most visibility.

In those areas, they will experience a partial Moon shadow cast over the Sun. Solar eclipses occur about every six months. We will not always experience them as they occur in different locations all across the globe. Just because we cannot witness it, does not mean it is not happening.

The path of the solar eclipse is the area where the eclipse is most strongly felt.

Greenland’s land mass is within the path of the greatest visibility.

Since April 2023, we’ve had a series of eclipses on the Aries - Libra axis. This is the work we’ve been doing to grow in our relationships, balanced within our own sovereignty and individual nature. Simply put, it is the growth, attention, and balance we achieve within the realm of the “I” versus the “WE.”

ASTROLOGICAL SYMBOLISM
ARIES SOLAR ECLIPSE

Whenever we have an eclipse, it is an intense time of focused energy. It is “...constantly engulfed by the flow of the cosmic energy streaming out from the center of this galaxy, over and around the Sun and planets of our system. Eclipses are marked by endings and beginnings. Secretly, we weave the struggles into the stories that connect with our identity. Sharing our humanity is a luxury, we often don’t allow ourselves to be vulnerable and connect. Yet, it is our reflection witnessed through the eyes of another, where we see clearly.

Like a quiltmaker, sew the small, often disparate pieces of your life together, and witness a pattern of wholeness, continuity, and purpose. Step into the sun’s warmth, gather courage, and embrace that inner bravery.

This Aries eclipse is calling upon your courage to take the initiative.

Like nature, lean into the Sun and grow.

✨ VENUS - PLANET OF LOVE

Yesterday, Venus rx entered Pisces and is conjunct Neptune. Our visions of love are in question as we cannot see clearly. Neptune brings a grand vision, illusion, fantasy or deception and love can show up in any iteration along this spectrum line.

If you are not clear which one for you, wait until Venus goes direct and moves away from Neptune’s influence.

✨ MERCURY - THE MESSENGER OF THE GODS

Mercury rx enters Pisces on Saturday and adds to the same flavor as Venus. This time our communication is blurry and not well defined. It is like speaking into the wind. Can anyone hear you? Wait until April 7 or shortly after for clarity.

✨ NEPTUNE - THE DREAMER

On April 30, Neptune enters Aries and begins a sojourn into a more impulsive sign. Dreams can come into fruition if you take initiative and action. The spiritual can become actualized. Connect with your visions for the future, then take courageous actions. We will see Neptune volley between Pisces and Aries this year as it prepares for its 12-year journey through the sign of Aries. Even though it was a super stormy day, high winds and rain, the clouds parted just as I walked outdoors.

I caught a glimpse of the reddish Moon high in the sky surrounded by clouds. I snapped this picture, spun around to enjoy a clear patch of stars in the northern sky.

As soon as I glanced back at the Moon, she dashed behind a cloud. ☁️ I’m feeling lucky to catch a glimpse of this eclipse!

BIG ENERGY
Overall, the energy is a bit unstable and you may feel a bit uneasy. This is a year with massive changes taking effect. March is powerful with an eclipse and a major energy shift. with Neptune.

The eclipse energy is potent, especially as the Moon is opposite the Sun, Saturn (restrictions) Neptune (illusion/visions), and the North Node (soul purpose) all in Pisces. Eclipses bring about beginnings and endings and last up to six months. Full Moons cast light on what is hidden and out of sight, so we may be in for a revelation.

Eclipses occur approximately every six months and divinely align with the nodal axis. The eclipse path is only visible over part of the earth. This is why some eclipses are more of a “big deal” than others. This one is visible (at midnight) over much of North America. Wherever it is visible is most acutely impacted.

This lunar eclipse in Virgo cozies up with the South Node and has a flavor of past karma at play. Virgo is about the details and a sense of order that is essential to feel calm right now. What is entering or leaving in your life right now? Pay attention over the next few months to this theme.

MESSAGES AWAITING
With all of the planets in Pisces, there is a higher order message being delivered. Are you listening? Discipline and responsibility are on tap to bring a practical approach to the disorder, chaos, and change that is afoot. Mercury is station right now and will be retrograde March 15 - April 7 when it moves stationary direct. As always with Mercury retrogrades, slow down and evaluate, pause and reflect. It is a time of review, reknew, and reflect.
