Currently, the stellium of planets (several clustered together) in the sign of Aries is heady. Neptune, Mercury, Mars, and Saturn speak to what we are seeing in the political sphere. On the world stage, we are seeing warfare (Aries) cloaked with spiritual rhetoric (Neptune/Mercury) that is both confusing and deceptive. At the tailt end of the sign is the New Moon, where the darkness falls to a moment of stillness. The stillness captures its poignancy.
We are witnessing the Aries energy pattern of ill-planned actions. This is the shadow of Aries. Arrogant, ego-driven actions that are impulsive and without regard to others. The result? Chaos reigns.
ARIES ARCHETYPE:
Aries, as an archetype, is the initiator. New Moons are beginnings, and so is the energy of Aries. As archetypes encompass a wide swath of meaning, this Moon inspires a wide look at such a concentration of energy.
Warrior - fight, protect, assertive action
Pioneer - trailblazer and leader of a new direction
Direct - accomplishing in a straightforward way
Aries is action-oriented, but can be impulsive. Independent and enthusiastic. Passionate on one hand, but can become volatile if the energy is not directed to be released through the physical body. Aries, by its nature, the first zodiac sign, is driven by the need to be first.
PERSONAL NOTE:
On a personal note, New Moons are reflective and a time to lock into your next month’s plans. What is going well? What can you do to initiate action on something you want? Is there a shift you need to make?
Spring is filled with promise, as new plantings are showing signs of growth. What is the growth in your life? It is time to dial in and use this focused energy to create!
