Meet Sol! Sol is a yoga teacher and dedicated practitioner trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa, Classical Hatha, and Yin Yoga. Her teaching weaves slow, breath-initiated movement with held postures to build strength and flexibility, while fostering deep mind-body-spirit relaxation. She is especially drawn to the therapeutic aspects of yoga asana, emphasizing safe alignment, accessible variations for every pose, and fascia release in her classes. Sol has studied with teachers in New York, Paris, Bali, and Tucson. She received her 200-hr certification from The Sacred Fig in Bali. She is currently pursuing her 300-hr training at YogaOasis, and has also completed a 20-hour Yin Foundations Training there. Sol is RYT-200 and, first and foremost, a student of the practice.

Join us in welcoming Lydia to the team!

Lydia’s yoga journey began in the heart of Guadalajara, Mexico, where the pain of life awakened a deep connection to Ashtanga yoga. What started as a physical practice soon blossomed into something much more, a doorway into ancient wisdom that could heal, guide, and transform.
Originally from the lush Pacific Northwest, Lydia brings a grounded, heartfelt presence to everything she does. Her path led her to study yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, and energy work not just in classrooms, but through real, lived experience. These teachings gave her the tools and strength to leave behind a corporate career and step into a life of greater alignment and service.
Today, Lydia serves as Project Champion at the Yoga Studies Institute, helping bring timeless yogic teachings to modern seekers around the world. A lifelong student, she believes yoga isn’t just something we do on the mat, it’s how we live, speak, and meet each moment with awareness and compassion.

Off the mat, Lydia finds joy in the sacred chaos of family life as a mother of three daughters, weaving practice into parenting, partnership, and the everyday art of being.

Lady Niguma Yoga is coming to 4th Ave on Mondays from 9-10:15 am - with Lydia!

Lady Niguma Yoga is a profound and ancient asana system created by the enlightened yogini Lady Niguma, whose teachings predate the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. Rooted in feminine wisdom and subtle body mastery, this unique lineage-based series—like Ashtanga or Bikram—follows the same sequence each time it’s practiced.

Beginning on the left side to honor intuitive, receptive qualities, the practice weaves together bija mantra chanting to harmonize the inner elements, physical postures that move from the root to the crown chakra, pranayama techniques such as mahabandha and kapalabhati, and final integration through savasana and meditation. While the sequence is fixed, poses can be skillfully modified to support all levels of practitioners.

Practicing Lady Niguma Yoga helps unwind energetic knots (chakras) that block the vital flow of prana through the central channel (sushumna nadi). More than a physical practice, it is a meditative journey inward—training the mind and body to access higher states of consciousness through compassion, creativity, and focused awareness.

Juicy Yoga is a three-week transformational yoga workshop designed to awaken your body, mind, and spirit. Whether you're new to the mat or a seasoned yogi, this experience will nourish your practice with intention, challenge, and play.

Each week, we’ll explore a unique theme to deepen your connection to your body and cultivate holistic well-being:

🧘‍♀️ Week 1: Strength – Root to Rise
We begin by building a solid foundation. This week is all about cultivating inner and outer strength—physical, mental, and emotional. Through dynamic flows and grounding poses, you'll tap into your personal power, engage your core, and activate the muscles that support your posture and presence. Expect to leave feeling strong, supported, and empowered.

🧘 Week 2: Balance – Center and Steady
With strength established, we turn our focus to balance—on the mat and in life. You'll practice finding steadiness in transitions, exploring standing balances, core stability, and breath awareness. This week will challenge your focus, improve your alignment, and guide you toward a centered, calm mind.

🧘‍♂️ Week 3: Flexibility – Flow and Release
In our final week, we lean into openness and surrender. With the strength and balance you've cultivated, you’ll dive into deeper stretching, longer holds, and fluid movements. This is where we invite softness and grace into the body, creating space for growth, release, and restoration.

4th Ave, I look forward to practicing with you Sundays at 9am 🌞

I came to yoga as a way to build flexibility for climbing and running, and it quickly became a deeper practice of breath, presence, and humility. I aim to bring that spirit to my classes through thoughtful sequencing, options for every body, inclusive staging and refinement, and space to reconnect with self.

I’m grateful to the many teachers who have shaped my practice, especially here in Tucson. And I’m honored to begin this next chapter in community with you all.
