An Afternoon to Remember at Whitewater Draw

Our outing to Whitewater Draw with biologist and bird expert Jeff Babson was truly unforgettable. From our departure at Hacienda to the final flyover, the experience was filled with learning, beauty, and awe.

We watched thousands of Sandhill Cranes rise over the marshland, their calls echoing across the wetlands as Jeff shared insights into these remarkable birds and their habitat. The photos capture it perfectly—cranes in flight, glowing landscapes, and the happy faces of everyone who joined us.

What a perfect Sunday afternoon in Tucson!
Our members enjoyed a beautiful arboretum walking tour at the University of Arizona, taking in the gorgeous weather while learning about the diverse plants on campus and the fascinating stories behind them.
From the iconic Memorial Fountain to the lush grounds surrounding Old Main, every stop offered a new moment of discovery and appreciation for the university’s rich heritage.

From stretching sessions to hand-eye coordination activities, Tovah goes above and beyond to create fun, engaging classes that keep our members moving, smiling, and connected.

Art Deco, Cars & Classic Hollywood!

We loved hosting an Art Talk with Alinda Hakanson, docent from the Tucson Museum of Art, who took us on a stylish journey through the Art Deco era. From sleek automobile design to the glamour of Hollywood films, this talk showed how Deco influenced it all.

So much great insight, eye-opening details, and plenty of appreciation for the bold lines and timeless style of the era. A big thank-you to Alinda for sharing her knowledge with us!

Big cheers for our Hacienda at the Canyon bocce ball athletes who brought skill, teamwork, and nonstop FUN to the Senior Olympics.

We were proud to have 1 men’s team, 1 coed team, and 2 women’s teams competing—proof that great things happen when friends come together and roll with confidence.
