Did you know? If you’re living with HIV and stay consistent with meds, you can become Undetectable, which means you can’t pass HIV through s*x (U=U). 💙

Treatment today is easier than ever: 1–2 pills a day or even long-lasting injectables. Staying undetectable keeps you healthy, too!

🚨 Proposed federal budget cuts threaten HIV/AIDS funding — and our community’s health is on the line.

For decades, organizations like Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation have fought to protect the health, dignity, and lives of people living with HIV/AIDS in Southern Arizona.

These cuts would reverse critical progress and put vulnerable lives at risk.

We need our leaders in Washington to hear us: Protect HIV/AIDS funding. Our future depends on it!

🐾❤️ A huge thank you to our friends at ADP One Tucson for their incredible generosity! Through their recent pet food and supply drive, ADP employees collected and donated much-needed items that will directly support the pets of our clients and community. These donations help ensure that our clients' four-legged family members are cared for and supported alongside the people who love them most.

Thank you for helping us keep tails wagging and hearts full! 🐶🐱

🛑 URGENT: Congress is Trying to Dismantle Our HIV Response

The House Appropriations Committee just proposed a $1.7 BILLION CUT to critical HIV care, treatment, and prevention programs in the FY26 budget. This includes:

❌ A 20% cut to the Ryan White Program
❌ Elimination of ALL HIV prevention funding at the CDC
❌ An end to the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative — which has already reduced new HIV cases by 21% in key areas!

These cuts would be devastating — leading to more HIV transmissions, avoidable AIDS-related deaths, and the collapse of decades of progress in the fight to end the epidemic.
💔 Communities already hit hardest — especially Black, Latinx, LGBTQ folx and individuals with HIV/AIDS — will suffer the most.

📢 We MUST speak out! Tell Congress to:
✅ OPPOSE these harmful cuts
✅ FULLY FUND HIV programs: Ryan White, CDC prevention, and EHE
✅ PROTECT our public health infrastructure

Tell your representative that you stand for justice, inclusion, and protection. Show up. Speak out. Be the resistance that drives change.

About Us

The Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation (SAAF) formed in 1997 as the result of a merger of three Tucson-based AIDS service organizations. In November 2014, SAAF acquired Wingspan, Southern Arizona’s LGBT Community Center. SAAF’s mission is to “cultivate a healthy and stigma-free society through transformative action.” Collectively, through its predecessor agencies, SAAF has served the community for more than 30 years by providing services to enhance the health and quality of life for those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS and to assist people in preventing HIV, Substance Abuse, Hepatitis C, and other Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). SAAF continually works to meet the needs of the LGBTQ+ community, and focuses on evidence-based prevention programs to reach at-risk populations.
