I attended the SoAPRA - Chapter of NPRA November meeting tonight! It was hosted at Broadway Proper Retirement Community, the hosts Breanne and Brittany created a beautiful environment, delicious tapas and wonderful service.

Broadway Proper is a 55+ Independent living and Assisted living community. Where you can be as involved as you want! They offer daily exercise classes of all sorts. They have 40 to 50 activities a week! They even offer off-site excusions! There is a salon/barber shop. They offer all you could ever want!

The speakers on the panel tonight were from Adultcare Assistance Homecare and Fleming & Curti, PLC. Speaking on Care coordinations through care management and fiduciary support. I know this was so informative for so many of the attendees.

It was such an honor to be invited to The Hacienda at the Canyon Professional Partner Awards Dinner last night! Hosted by Jaysyn Landyn !

It was so beautifully done, place settings, wine, three course meal.

And the company, even more delightful! They chose partners most involved with their community and I am so proud to have been included!

The Hacienda at the Canyon is one of my favorite locations to refer my clients. I love how large the community is with still feeling small and connected. I love their gorgeous views and the many restaurants they have to offer. Every room has a balcony or patio to enjoy those views. You have so many options, small and large apartments and casita’s (townhomes for you non Arizonan’s)!

They have home health, PT and OT on site to help you age in place. But also offer Assisted living and Memory care. They have trainers available for you to reserve at their full size gym too!

This is an incredible community that I hope to continue to get the opportunity to refer to often!

I toured Cottages of Tucson today with Mireya Montano Tarazon! She is their Executive Director and is very hands on and cares deeply for her residents and her community.

The Cottages is four homes within a gated community, they cater to assisted living and memory care. They can and will work with families of behavioral and pride themselves on helping them find even ground to live their lives happily. With 24/7 trained care professionals managed by a licensed nurse.

Each home holds up to ten bedrooms. They offer private and shared rooms. They have a lovely walkway that goes between the homes with lots of seating and shady areas.

They do offer respite and short stays as well. Should your need arise. Please let me know!

I am so excited about this event! Our seniors mean the world to me as you know. I can't wait to see all the love our community can provide to these seniors this holiday season. 🎄 ❤️

I would like to share an initiative from SoAPRA aimed at supporting seniors in assisted living and memory care during the holiday season. This is our first inaugural Senior Living Giving Tree. Recognizing the particular challenges of isolation for these individuals, we have adopted The Ranch Estates of Tucson, a member of SoAPRA, for this year's holiday outreach.

At our upcoming two events, November and December, we will provide a list of seniors who do not have family and are in need of support. This presents a meaningful opportunity to contribute to making their Christmas as joyful as possible.

It is our hope to continue this wonderful event annually, so if you are interested in your community being selected next year, please join the SoAPRA membership today!

🇺🇸 Veterans Day Recognition: Celebrating Sheri and Rob Lewin

On this Veterans Day, SOAPRA is proud to recognize one of our dedicated board members, Sheri Lewin, and her husband, Rob Lewin, for their remarkable commitment to service.

Together, the Lewins share more than 35 years of combined military service in the U.S. Air Force. As a multi-generational military family, they dedicated their lives to serving our nation, operating across seven states, two countries, and participating in numerous deployments in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

Beyond their service, Sheri currently volunteers as SOAPRA's Social Media Director. Professionally, they co-own Assisted Living Locators of Tucson. Their deep passion for supporting senior citizens aligns perfectly with the core mission of SOAPRA.

The Lewins are also proud parents to four children and two grandchildren, and have called Tucson home for over nine years.

We extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Lewins for their military service, their continued commitment to our community, and their unwavering support of SOAPRA.

To all veterans, past and present, thank you for your service.

Edward Lopez and I had the best time on our second annual Veterans Day honoring our local Veterans. We could only make it to seven of our communities, but oh was it worth it! I wish we could have been to them all.

We had Korean War and Vietnam War Veterans. Male and Female Veterans. We even had one of the first female paratroopers today! She is living life to its fullest in one of our communities.

I love to see all the walls in the communities dedicated to our Veterans, that they are getting the recognition they deserve and have earned.

And I also loved to see how the communities were making an extra effort to make this day special for their Veteran residents. Tables set up for the community to see who their veterans are. Presentations of the flag and pinning ceremonies. Free meals, haircuts, happy hour! It was a party everywhere we stopped!

I toured Atria Bell Court Gardens this morning and I have to say it is just gorgeous!

This used to be a mansion back in 1927 and then it became a catholic school for girls. They kept so much of the original architecture!

Large rooms, spacious and incredible views. They have a whole court yard for a dog park. Large pool original to the community, they just added a hot tub. Lots of outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the views.

Tucked away from any busy streets, right by St. Joseph’s hospital and several rehab facilities.
