👓🌎 with our brand, new VR headset, the summer heat doesn’t stand a chance – we’re traveling in comfort to some truly dreamy destinations!

From the winding canals of Venice at sunset to a peaceful walk through the Great Stupa of Sanchi, our members have been soaking in culture, beauty, and history – all without a booked flight. We’ve even witnessed the restoration of Notre Dame guided by Rector, Patrick Chauvet, and cruised through the stunning red rocks of Zion National Park.

No lines, no jet lag – just front row seats to the wonders of the world. Virtual reality, real joy.

We had an unforgettable day at Chase Field cheering on our Arizona Diamondbacks as they took on the Houston Astros! From a nail-biting game to hot dogs and high-fives, this community outing was a home run. We were thrilled to share the fun with both our amazing members and dedicated associates—because experiences like this are better when shared together. Where will we venture next? 👀💫

🍎✨ It’s been harvest time for Anna’s Apples — a Kino heritage fruit grown right here in our Healing Garden — and this year, we were treated to a bumper crop!

For this month’s Watermark University Gather & Graze series, our HR & Associate Engagement Director, Marielena, led members in creating something truly special: a Southwestern twist on fruit mixiote.

Traditionally a pit-barbecued dish wrapped in agave leaves, we gave it a garden-fresh update using banana leaves from our own grounds — wrapping up spiced, chopped Anna’s Apples into fragrant little bundles of joy.

Baked to perfection and served with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of cream, these garden-to-table treats were filled with flavor, tradition, and the spirit of community. Next month Figs!

🎨⛈️ Today in the gardens, we took this monsoon season into our own hands – and brushes!

During our watercolor classes, members have been gathering to manifest, vibrant summer storms on paper, channeling the energy of Tucson’s dramatic skies. Swirls of indigo, streaks of lightning, bursts of desert color – each painting crackled with creativity and atmosphere.

It’s safe to say… some very impressive storms rolled through today, and were quite pleased with ourselves. 😉

As our Community Life Director, Brit Wieland is one of our associates who is always looking for new ways to enhance our members’ wellness, no matter where in the world she is.

“After returning from Japan, I didn’t want to simply share photos or facts,” she explained in an interview published by McKnight's Senior Living. “I wanted to create space for immersive experiences that gently invite reflection. We’re not just individuals; we’re part of a community within a community, where belonging and connection are vital to our well-being.”

Monsoon magic + watercolor wonder! 🌧️🎨

Today’s cloudy morning first set the perfect mood for a day of imagination and creativity. We ventured out first to the Woods Memorial Library to soak in their inspiring watercolor show by a very special artist — now on display for all to enjoy through July! We then continued on admiring local murals around town by artists such as Ignacio Garcia and Sean John Cannon.

Back at the community, with the first monsoon rain gently drizzling outside, we spent the afternoon learning watercolor fundamentals with one of our talented art instructors, Ann. The perfect way to paint a little beauty into a rainy day!

🎨 Pop Into June Mural Tour & Lunch 🍴
June has been bursting with bold color, creativity, and meaning—and today we wrapped up our final mural tour with Community Life Director Brit, an artist herself, guiding us through Tucson’s vibrant public art scene.

We explored works by Joe Pagac, Arte By Ignacio, , and peers and Sean Cannon Art —a longtime pal of Brit’s whose pop-culture portraits helped shape this month’s theme: Pop Into June—Celebrating Pop Figures of all Kinds!

From Warhol-inspired murals to tributes to Freddie Mercury and Elton John, to our Juneteenth reflections on justice and history—this month has honored expression and belonging in all its forms.

We ended the day at the beloved La Indita Mexican Restaurant , a local favorite for over 40 years, savoring their signature green enchiladas, mole, and Indian tacos—a flavorful finale to a meaningful month of belonging. 💥🌈🌮

Today was a joyful day of creativity and celebration as we prepared our submissions for the upcoming Watermark Expressions 2026 Calendar! 📸 From professional headshots to photographing each beautiful piece, today was full of smiles!

The Expressions Calendar is a wonderful way to debut member artwork across the country—and our artists are so excited to share their creations with the world. There’s something truly special about honoring the hands, hearts, and stories behind the art.

We had a POP-tastic time channeling our inner Warhols in this week’s hands-on pop art workshop! As a continuation of last month’s Watermark University session exploring the bold world of pop art icon Andy Warhol, we brought black-and-white portraits of pop culture figures to life with vibrant, expressive color.

This creative experience was part of our June theme: Let’s Pop Into June: Celebrating Pop and All Kinds of Pop Figures! From pop art and pop culture to the Pops we love most, it’s a colorful celebration all month long.

No experience was needed—just a playful spirit and a love for color, creativity, and connection. 💥👨‍🎨🎨
