Electroconvulsive therapy can be an important option for individuals facing severe or treatment resistant mental health conditions. ECT may also help improve things like low energy, loss of interest in daily activities, changes in appetite, and even thoughts of self-harm.

For some individuals, these improvements can happen more quickly than with other treatments, helping them regain a sense of stability and engagement in everyday life. Every journey looks different, and having access to the right level of care can make all the difference.

March is Self-Injury Awareness Month, a meaningful opportunity to bring attention to a challenge that is often hidden beneath the surface. Open dialogue can foster understanding and connection.

If this struggle feels familiar, know that recovery is possible. Professional support can help individuals build safer ways to manage emotions and move toward long term healing. Reaching out is a sign of strength and self respect.

Last night, Business Development lit up the night connecting with several 24-hour hospital partners in addition to an AMR ambulance crew.

During the visits, we were able to educate about open availability 24/7 for patients we dually serve. St. Mary's Hospital, Banner – University Medical Center Tucson, Tucson ER & Hospital, AMR and Carondelet Urgent Care Marana were all gracious enough to take some time before a busy night! These visits are always a great reminder that behavioral health needs don’t follow a 9–5 schedule. Care is needed around the clock, and so is collaboration. Sonora is here to help!
