🌟Meet Brielle🌟 Previous TMC for Children Champion Child and Patient Ambassador

Brielle’s story is one of resilience and hope. She was born in 2017 with Amniotic Band Syndrome, a condition where loose bands of tissue prevent blood from getting to the fetus’s body parts during pregnancy. ABS can lead to serious birth disorders or even death. Brielle faced challenges with her limb development, but she received life-changing care during her first year at TMC for Children, allowing her to reach important milestones.

A few years later, Brielle’s strength was tested again when she contracted MISC-19 during the pandemic. This rare and serious illness required hospitalization for a week. Once again, our team at TMC for Children provided her with the treatment she needed to recover.

Today, Brielle shines brightly! She excels in school and is an up and coming cheerleader! Go Brielle 📣

A cancer patient's ride to surgery didn't show up. She was stranded and terrified she'd miss her procedure.

Kerri Reeves, an oncology social worker at TMC Health, stepped in. She ordered a car. The patient made it in time.

Another patient couldn't store her chemotherapy medication at home. Her refrigerator was broken, and she couldn't afford a new one.

Kerri's team used the donor-funded Patient Assistance Fund to buy her a mini fridge.

"That's lifesaving," Kerri told us. "That's huge."

Today is Arizona Gives Day, Tuesday, April 7, a statewide day of giving that rallies communities around the causes they love most. We'd love nothing more than to have you rally around TMC Health Foundation.

🌟Meet Logan 🌟Previous TMC for Children National Champion Child and Patient Ambassador

At just 2 years old, Logan began to pull on his ears in discomfort and had trouble verbalizing his words. He began to have constant ear infections which led to congestion and hard-to-treat sinus troubles. When Logan turned 3, his parents became concerned when his sounds and words weren’t improving so they brought him to his pediatrician who referred him to TMC Audiology.

The team determined he was having speech and hearing issues, was partially deaf in both ears, and underwent surgeries to correct. Post-surgery, Logan worked with TMC Speech Therapy to enhance his speech.

Even facing all these life challenges, Logan now age 11, has remained a constant ray of positivity and optimism. Thanks to the support of TMC for Children and TMC Pediatric Therapy services, Logan received the foundational treatments which allow him to succeed and excel ❤️

It takes a village… and we want you to be a part of ours! This May, we are kickstarting the first-ever Tucson Children’s Miracle Network Council; bringing together staff, community members, and business owners to support pediatric healthcare across southern Arizona.

This group will collaborate on ideas, build community partnerships, secure sponsors, and support events—all to help raise critical funds for the children and families served at TMC for Children.
