Zona Dental Group Zona Dental is a private dental practice that offers 2 locations to serve you. Our providers rotate Richardson took over Rillito Crossing Dental after Dr. W.

Zona Dental Group was established in November 2014 when Dr. Joseph A. Blane Lawton retired. Dr. Richardson is from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He received his BS degree in Computer Information Systems from Purdue University in 2000. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry and is thrilled to be practicing in sunny Tucson, AZ! Dr. Richardson purchased a second Zona Dental location on River Rd when his father-in-law, Dr. Joseph Mullarkey and friend Dr. Joseph Kennedy retired in 2020. Dr. Sara Garcia joined the growing Zona Dental team in 2019 and Dr. Jordan Arnone followed in 2020. Dr. Sara Garcia grew up in Blythe, a small farming community in southern California. She completed her undergraduate degree in Urban Planning at Stanford University. Dr. Garcia was accepted to the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. Committed to academic excellence, she graduated with honors and was inducted into the honor society, Tau Kappa Omega. Dr. Jordan Arnone grew up in Oak Grove, Missouri, located 45 minutes east of Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated with a Bachelors of Biology and a minor in Business from University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Arnone graduated with a doctorate of dental medicine from A.T. Still University- Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health. Our dental team strives to provide the best patient care and customer service. Our dental hygienists, assistants and office team regularly attend continuing education courses to stay up to date on the latest dental procedures and technology. Our staff has been working together for many years and is more like family than co-workers. We believe that in order for you to make the best decisions about your dental health, you need to understand all your options. We will take the time to explain to you any areas of concern and all of the options available to fix any dental problems you may have. What’s best for your situation may not be what’s best for the next patient. When a crown becomes damaged or starts to leak, sometimes it can be repaired or “patched.” In certain situations, this can be a helpful short-term option. However, it’s important to know that patching isn’t always the best long-term solution.

Our Story

Zona Dental Group was established in November 2014 when Dr. Joseph A. Richardson took over Rillito Crossing Dental after Dr. W. Blane Lawton retired. Dr. Richardson is from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He received his BS degree in Computer Information Systems from Purdue University in 2000. After graduation, he moved to Houston, TX to work for ExxonMobil as a Systems Analyst. In 2006 he and his wife, Katie, were married and they were blessed with a daughter in 2012 named Isabelle.Although computers and technology still fascinate him today, Dr. Richardson was not in love with his original career choice and decided to make a change into the field of dentistry. The ability to positively impact lives on a daily basis aligned with his life outlook and goals. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry and is thrilled to be practicing in sunny Tucson, AZ! Beyond dentistry, Dr. Richardson enjoys spending time with family and friends. He loves playing sports (basketball, volleyball, softball, golf, etc.) and spending time in the great outdoors.He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Arizona Dental Association. Our dental team strives to provide the best patient care and customer service. Our dental hygienists, assistants and office team regularly attend continuing education courses to stay up to date on the latest dental procedures and technology. Our staff has been working together for many years and is more like family than co-workers. We believe that in order for you to make the best decisions about your dental health, you need to understand all your options.
