But rather than get overwhelmed or immediately go to places of guilt or shame, what if we just took a baby step into the Wonder and curiosity of what it would look like to leave capitalism, imperialism, empire mind thinking?
In the almost 20 years that I have studied and practiced Ayurveda, one of the biggest themes is realizing that we are nature not separate from it. And the answer to imbalance, misalignment, sickness, and disease isn't to separate ourselves more from nature, but to immerse ourselves in it. What would a world look like when we give all life dignity to be here on this planet Earth?
To sit and listen to the wind, the trees , the rocks, the mountains, and appreciate the creation with reverence and dignity. It would change us. It would have us desiring to protect and cherish every single living thing. It would make us look at all the ways we have separated ourselves from one another and from the Earth.
We would question the reality that currently exists and keeps us enslaved to convenience, keeps us propelling a narrative that hurts other humans on the planet...
We are in the last days of capitalism. What are you doing?
