Heads Up! The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for our area starting tomorrow.

Starts: Wednesday, March 11 @ 3:00 PM

Peak Intensity: Wednesday night (especially between 8 PM – 11 PM)

Calming Down: Thursday morning by 6:00 AM

Quick Pre-Wind Checklist:
If it’s light enough to move, it’s light enough to fly! Secure patio umbrellas, empty trash bins, and hanging planters.
Charge your phones and tablets to 100% before the wind picks up tomorrow afternoon.
If possible, park away from large overhanging tree limbs.
Make sure your flashlights are handy (with working batteries) in case the lights flicker.

If you see a downed power line, stay at least 30 feet away and call 911 or the PUD immediately. Treat every downed wire as live and dangerous!

You can track local outages or report one yourself using the PUD Outage Map here:

A 10-minute walk, stretching at your desk, dancing in the kitchen, every little bit adds up.

Share your favorite way to move in the comments, and let’s inspire each other to stay active this month.
