Higher Risk patients for Severe Illness from COVID-19

COVID-19 is a new infection still with limited information and resources about risk factors for severe disease. Elderly patients or populations of any age who have harsh underlying medical conditions might be at higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19.
Based on the limited information available, those at high-risk for severe illness from COVID-19 are but not limited to

65 years and older population
Nursing home for long term care facility residents
COPD
Asthma,
Diabetes,
Immunocompromised patients
severe heart conditions,
Chronic kidney and liver disease,
smoking
morbid obesity
all are at high risk of getting COVID-19 infection.
