Happy weekend! 🌿
Did you know that learning to plan and cook your own meals is one of the best steps toward living more independently?
For many people with disabilities, being able to decide what to eat and prepare it yourself is a big deal. It means more control over your daily life — and that feels really good! 😊
Here’s how to start 👇
-Pick 2 or 3 simple meals for the week — nothing fancy!
-Adaptive kitchen tools like jar openers, weighted utensils, electric can openers, and one-handed cutting boards can make cooking so much easier — and they’re worth looking into!
-Cook a big batch once and eat it over a few days. Less stress, more food!
It’s totally okay to ask for help with some steps. You’re still doing it!
Every small step in the kitchen is a step toward independence. You’ve got this! ✨
