Tonight, we were able to take part in honoring the lives of those lost to the fentanyl epidemic.
Fentanyl kills an average of 300 people a day, and it is the #1 killer of adults aged 20-45. These people who die because of it are not just "addicts" or "junkies" or any other label. They're someone's son. Someone's daughter. A child's parent...
The saddest part is that so many times, the stigma is the real killer. Stigma is that dark cloud that makes people who struggle with addiction think that they can't be honest and get help. Instead, so many times they suffer in silence, believing there's no way out, until one day it takes their life.
How long until we join together to make a difference?
How much is a human life worth?
