Did you know that loss of muscle tone in our eyelids is a leading underlying cause of dry eye? Loss of muscle tone occurs naturally with age and can lead to impaired blinking - especially in those that do lots of near work or use devices such as computers or smartphones regularly. This $1000 award is given annually to an area high school senior who wishes to pursue higher education in a science-related field.
