The Western region's Directors of Nursing came together for a time of learning as well as self-care. We were able to openly discuss our day-to-day challenges and come up with ideas and suggestions to best work through these while continuing to support our patients, our staff, and even ourselves. We had a fun night doing Paint with a Twist, and the message was clear: They are facing the changes, growing as managers and as hospice nurses, and thriving through the support of one another.

Earlier this summer, we reached a new all-time high of patients served. In celebration of all the hard work of our teams, we asked them to vote on the leader they would most like to see in a dunk tank. Sunday Watson, Regional Vice President of Operations for our Central offices earned that spot, and last week we learned that while none of us would be moving onto the MLB, we had a great time throwing a few baseballs and giving her a good soaking.
