It can be difficult trying to get in shape or to lose those extra couple pounds and just taking the step towards becoming a healthier you is the hardest part. Knowing how to put together a workout program to maximize your efforts in the gym is where I come in. I construct a workout, cardio, and nutrition program to meet your individual needs. Having a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition gives me the knowledge to give you the best nutritional information possible with expertise in physiology, superfoods, herbalism, metabolism, juicing, detoxing, and orthomolecular medicine. Most trainers have a certification to train but not every trainer has a degree and certainly not in Nutrition which gives me a wealth of knowledge to assist you in reaching your goals. I am passionate about helping you reach your goals and to teach you along the way because your success is my success and I will do everything to make sure you achieve all of the goals set before you.

is back training for soccer so we are trying to get the legs strong in both the muscle and connective tissue. Isometrics target mostly connective tissue while contraction or movement based lifting under load will target mostly the muscle. If most injuries occur in the connective tissue we want to make sure we train that as much as possible to reduce the likely hood of an injury. For soccer the ankles, knees and hips will be our biggest focus.

Mila has fallen a couple time over the past year so we’ve made a point to focus on connective tissue in her knees, hips and lower back. Along with that we have worked on overall strength and balance.
🔻
This is a small sample of her current training after doing CARs and PAIL/RAILs. The first video is an accelerated forwards stepping lunge onto a pad. We are trying to treat this as a catch for the knee as she has to rapidly decrease the forward force onto the unstable surface which provides cushion for the foot at the same time. So we get a connective tissue input and muscular input at the same time.
🔻
After that we practiced the balance beam and her ability to stay on one foot during a tripod. We want here to accommodate to the balance beam so we know she has acquired the skill needed for it and then we will add more complexity. She could barely stand on it 6 months ago and now she’s almost walking along it without falling off once. More work to do but the progress Mila is making is awesome!
