Low T & Heart Risk

Men with testosterone under ~550 ng/dL have higher rates of heart attacks and strokes.

A large observational study found men in the highest quartile of testosterone (≥550 ng/dL) had 30% lower risk of cardiovascular events compared to those below that mark.

✅ Key point: Correlation ≠ causation, but the data is strong enough to take low T seriously — not just for energy and performance, but for heart health.

So why aren't a lot of doctors prescribing it?

Because most were trained under outdated beliefs that testosterone fuels prostate cancer, raises heart risk, and should only be given if you’re dangerously low.

The problem? Modern research has debunked these fears:

✅JACC study: Men ≥550 ng/dL had 30% lower risk of cardiovascular events.

✅TRAVERSE trial: No increased heart/stroke risk in men with medically confirmed low T.

✅FDA 2025: Removed the old cardiovascular warning from TRT meds.
