FYI: Finn is on leave this week. I know that will make things difficult but it's well deserved. We'll do whatever we need to to keep everyone safe and taken care of.

For any patients out there: we had to change our number from the one I sent in the letter. (Long story for anyone interested) Our number now is 918-550-2294. Also, we are running on a skeleton crew at the moment so please be forgiving.
It is an amazing group of people!!

Hey everyone, it’s Finn.

I want to issue a personal apology to everyone who has tried unsuccessfully to call Zebra Who Cares the past few weeks. I had updated the voicemail with our new clinic information, but as it turns out it updated only my work number- and not the main number. I am abundantly sorry for this error. We issued it in letters to each patient, but I am still very sorry about the voicemail giving outdated information. In addition, our new place at Sunshine Community Services of Tulsa had to change their phone number during the change. It is now resolved and our new information is:

Sunshine Community Services of Tulsa
Phone: 918-550-2294
Address: 2235 E 6th St Tulsa OK

We do keep the door locked for safety purposes, please ring the doorbell if you have an appointment and we will let you in. We appreciate your patience during this change. Not everything has gone to plan, but we are up and running and getting situated at our new location. We care about you all so much and can’t wait to see you!

07/13/2025

Hi everybody! We're getting closer to August when I start seeing patients again and you see Finn's handsome face. We are now scheduling so please feel free to call for an appointment. **edit** the phone number is currently being changed, will update asap once it’s up and working

07/07/2025

Hey yall, it’s Finn

I will only be here a couple more days, so if you haven’t heard back from a referral, please let me know! I will resend it for you or do whatever needs to be done

Patients-

We are now out of room until August. Please call Sunshine Community Services of Tulsa at *918-550-2294 to be scheduled with Raven for the month of August. Our regular phone will be open only for questions or concerns leading up to that point

Meds will continue to be refilled and emails will be returned

06/05/2025

We appreciate your patience with our phone lines the next couple days. Finn has over 50 phone calls to make today, in addition to any incoming calls +following up on each issue. This is almost double our normal call level. Leaving a voicemail can usually help expedite your care so we can get started on your needs. Thank you all very much

As previously stated, please see our last couple posts for important moving information

Happy Pride Month! -Finn

🌈 Why Pride Month Matters in the EDS & HSD Community
More than just a celebration, it's advocacy, inclusion, and visibility. 🦓🏳️‍🌈

Not All Stripes Are Black and White
Many people with Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) or hypermobility spectrum disorders (HSD) also identify as LGBTQIA+. Pride Month is a time to honor every part of their identity.

Gender Diversity & EDS
📊In a 2023 study, 17% of adolescents with EDS reported experiencing gender dysphoria — a feeling of distress due to a mismatch between gender identity and s*x assigned at birth.
In comparison, just 1.3% of the general population identify as transgender or gender-diverse.
📖PMID: 36600979

Neurodivergence, EDS, HSD, & LGBTQIA+ Identity
🧠Research shows people with EDS or HSD are more likely to be neurodivergent (Autism, ADHD).
Neurodivergent people are also more likely to identify as LGBTQIA+, making this intersection vital to understand.
📖PMID: 33285919

Barriers in Healthcare
Transgender, neurodivergent, and chronically ill individuals often experience:
🔹Misdiagnosis
🔹Dismissal of symptoms
🔹Lack of inclusive, affirming care
These challenges compound and deserve focused attention.

Hormone Therapy & Tissue Impact
🏥Gender-affirming hormone therapy may affect connective tissue.
It’s important for clinicians working with patients with EDS or HSD to be aware of this.
Inclusive, informed care = better outcomes.
📖PMID: 19095501

Visibility = Belonging
Pride Month is a chance to highlight intersectional voices and ensure everyone in our dazzle feels seen, safe, and celebrated.
Inclusion isn’t a trend, it’s a commitment. 🏳️‍⚧️💜
