Another round of balloon volleyball yesterday had us rolling in laughter. This is one simple game that they seem to enjoy the most and we had a few new faces which we love! Our LED upped the competition by throwing 3 balloons in the circle at a time…sure did get a work out!

As nurse’s week comes to a close today, we want to take a moment to recognize the hard work of our nurses here at Oxford Springs TAL. You never know where you will find these two…could be in the office, could be working on the floor, it could be working in the kitchen; no matter what it is, they give it their all and make sure the residents stay front and center of their focus. This afternoon we took the opportunity to celebrate all our mothers with a Mother’s Day Tea. The ladies gathered for assorted teas and treats and talked about the families they have created and their favorite parts about motherhood. It was an afternoon full of reminiscing, laughter and fellowship among the women…we did however invite the men in for our game of Bingo; what a turnout!

May sure is turning out to be a busy month and today was no exception. Rivercross hospice came out and did some axe throwing with our residents. There was some heavy competition but our winner turned out to be Mr Sonny. We finished the afternoon celebrating the National Day of Prayer with our own decorated crosses.
