Save the Date! —September 10th, 2026— This year's Western Days is going to be the best yet! We are so excited to have "The Dream Team" back!

In 2023, four extraordinary women, Beth Brown, Hilary Clark, Amy Dodson, and Melissa Stallcup, collaborated to host an incredibly successful event. In 2026, they decided to reassemble “The Dream Team” to once again chair the 2026 Western Days.
Through this shared experience, they have also formed a great friendship, enjoying time together beyond the planning process. What began as a lighthearted joke among themselves, “The Dream Team,” is now an endearing moniker. Learn more about Western Days at sswesterndays.org

It belongs to the residents who have trusted us with their most important years. To the families who placed their loved ones in our care. To the staff members who showed up day after day, with skill and with heart.

It was Dr. Eckel's dream. You are the reason it still lives.

In the early 1950s, Dr. Edward Eckel had a dream—a community for older adults built not on luxury, but on faith and genuine care. He found our hilltop location in the Osage Hills, and in 1960, Saint Simeon’s opened its doors.

Sixty-five years later, Dr. Eckel’s dream still drives us. Our belief that every person deserves to be genuinely cared for hasn’t changed. And it never will.

Today, we’re taking a moment to honor the journey—and everyone who has been part of it.
