Forget front-row seats—our residents had the best show in town right at home.

Our residents had the best afternoon listening to the Raintree County Band light up the Stovall Theater. From toe-tapping classics to sing-along favorites, the energy was contagious and the smiles said it all.

Moments like these remind us that community is about more than just living in the same place—it’s about sharing experiences that bring joy, laughter, and connection.

Ever wondered what 100 years of life looks like on paper?

We were honored to welcome back sketch artist Romney Nesbitt, who has visited UV before to draw our veterans, and this time she created portraits of our seven centenarians. Dorothy and Mary’s portraits are featured here, each one capturing the spark of a century well lived.

These moments remind us how special it is to celebrate the lives and stories of our residents.

Joshua Taylor set out to sing the National Anthem 100 times before his high school graduation—and not only did he hit that goal, he passed it long before senior year even started.

His performance at University Village marked his 161st time singing for an audience! 🎤🇺🇸

Now? He’s dreaming even bigger—he hopes to sing the anthem in all 52 states.
We’re honored to be one of the many meaningful stops along his journey.

It’s not every day you get to hear history firsthand.

Our residents were deeply moved by the stories shared by Anna Cypert, a Polish Holocaust survivor who spoke today about her family’s experience in the camps, their forced move from Poland, and her eventual journey to the U.S. with her mother.

We are thankful for her courage, honesty, and the lessons she continues to share.

On Friday we celebrated Ms. Nancy’s 100th birthday—and what a day it was! 🎉 She was joined by family from out of town, honored by Sue Scott with the Centenarians of Oklahoma, and got to celebrate alongside her dear friend Ms. Dorothy (also 100!). 💚 Fun fact: these two centenarians are not only friends—they’re also in-laws, as their children are married!

And don’t miss the photo of four of our incredible residents who are 100 or more: Ms. Rhea, Ms. Nancy, Ms. Dorothy, and Ms. Myrtle—401 years of beauty, wisdom, and joy!
