We are pleased to introduce you to Chester! Chester had a type of bone tumor called osteosarcoma in his back leg that required amputation. Bone tumors also require chemotherapy and the timing for the first treatment after amputation is very specific, so we always appreciate when our referring veterinarians can coordinate surgery with our schedule to make sure we can see them right on time. Chester is getting around well on 3 legs, and he did fantastic for his treatments. Go Chester!

Meet Mina! Mina is a 7 year old Corgi mix. Mina was diagnosed with lymphoma after her primary vet discovered enlarged lymph nodes during her routine annual exam. We started Mina on chemotherapy right away and she responded beautifully. Other than a number of treatment delays due to low white blood cell counts, Mina tolerated everything just fine and she recently got to ring the bell and pick a toy! Yay Mina!

This handsome guy is Otis. Otis had a high grade mast cell tumor removed from one of his hind legs. The mass was removed with a clean margin, but because it was high grade, it was likely to spread and chemotherapy was indicated. Otis was known to have a genetic mutation called MDR1, which can make him more susceptible to side effects from certain chemo drugs. Fortunately, one of the chemo drugs that is recommended for his cancer type, is not one that is known to cause issues with MDR1 patients. Otis did very well with his treatments and recently graduated! We love you Otis!

Meet Marley! When Marley's owner noticed that she was starting to limp on her left rear leg, she took her to her veterinarian to evaluate. An x-ray showed a bone tumor in one of the bones in her foot. A biopsy confirmed the suspicion of osteosarcoma, an aggressive type of bone cancer. Marley underwent an amputation followed by a course of chemotherapy. She recently finished treatment. We are very proud of you Marley!

Meet Leven! Leven was diagnosed with lymphoma by his primary care veterinarian after the owner had noticed that all of his lymph nodes were suddenly enlarged. Leven was referred to us and treatment started the same day. He has done very well with minimal side effects other than a few treatment delays due to low blood cell counts.
