This big silly guy is Gus! Gus was referred to us by the ophthalmologist here at TVS to evaluate a large, high grade mast cell tumor on his eyelid. Unfortunately, enucleation was the only option to get all of the mass removed. Gus did just fine with the surgery and he also did fantastic with his chemotherapy. He recently graduated and was super excited to get right to chewing his bone that he picked on graduation day. Happy graduation, Gus!

This little stinker is Freda! She is an 11 year old Corgi who we have been treating for lymphoma since January. Freda had a fairly large volume of disease, but this girl does not know she has cancer. She took every opportunity to do all her tricks to try to earn a treat and even learned how to open the lid to our treat jar in the chemo room and help herself. Freda loved picking a toy at graduation, she barked the whole time. We love your sassy, happy personality! Great job Freda!

Meet Hunter and his sweet family! We started seeing Hunter in February for an oral plasmacytoma. About 1 month into treatment, Hunter collapsed and required emergency surgery to remove his spleen which had a bleeding mass on it. The splenic mass was diagnosed as a different type of cancer, hemangiosarcoma. Since the oral lesion was not bothering Hunter, his parents decided to switch gears and treat the splenic mass. Much to our surprise, the oral tumor also responded to the treatment for the splenic cancer!.Hunter recently finished his treatment and graduated Way to go Hunter!

This shy guy is Zeus. His mom took him to see his primary care vet because he had some bleeding from his p***s. It turns out that he actually had a small tumor on the inside of his prepuce that was the culprit. It was removed and diagnosed as a low grade mast cell tumor. Even though it was low grade, because it was on his ge****ls we know that it will behave more aggressively and chemotherapy is indicated. Zeus did fantastic and never missed a beat! He was not shy about picking the big carrot for graduation! We love you Zeus!

We are pleased to introduce you to sweet Oliver and his family. Oliver was diagnosed with a high grade mast cell tumor that was removed from his side. Since this tumor can spread we started him on chemotherapy. Oliver had a few early treatment delays due to low white blood cell counts, but other than that he did very well. This big guy was always very shy, but such a good boy for us! He was very happy to pick a squeaky for graduation!

Meet sweet Chilly! She is a 10 year old hound mix. Chilly's primary care veterinarian felt a mass on her spleen while she was under anesthesia for a routine dental cleaning. The spleen was removed and the mass was diagnosed as hemangiosarcoma so Chilly started chemotherapy with us as soon as she was healed from her surgery. This girl did great through all her treatments and recently graduated! Fun fact: she is the grand-dog of one of our local primary care veterinarians :)

This adorable guy is Tonito! He is a 7 year old French Bulldog mix. Unfortunately, Tonito was diagnosed with two different types of cancer. He had a mast cell tumor on his sc***um and hemangiosarcoma on his abdomen. Each tumor type requires a different chemotherapy, so Tonito had to come every other week alternating treatments in order to safely treat both at the same time. Interesting fun fact, he started his treatments outside the country while visiting family and they came here to celebrate him for his graduation. He loved his ducky! We love you Tonito!

This big beefy boy is Duece! He had a high grade mast cell tumor removed from between his toes, but due to the tricky location the surgeon could not get it all. All of those factors played a role in strongly recommending chemotherapy for Duece. This sweet guy did very well and always came bouncing through the door to see us. He recently graduated and had a fun time picking a toy. We love you Duece!
