We are so proud to announce that Hillcrest South is a Forbes Top Hospital for 2026, with a rating of five stars overall! Forbes also gave us five stars for clinical outcomes.

This is the first time Forbes has published this list, looking at clinical outcomes to select which hospitals go on the list. This year, we proudly introduced the Physician Legacy Award, recognizing a physician whose clinical expertise, leadership and compassion make a lasting impact on our hospital and community. The very first recipient of this award is critical care provider Dr. Brian Worley! He received multiple nominations from colleagues, leaders and patients who describe him as highly committed to his work.

"Dr. Worley is an amazing physician known for being big-hearted and deeply compassionate," said one nominator. "His dedication to providing exceptional care, combined with his strong support for his team, makes him not only a great doctor, but also a truly inspiring leader."

Dr. Worley sets the standard for excellence at Hillcrest South, and we couldn’t be more proud to celebrate his legacy. Congratulations, Dr. Worley!

Cold air outside and dry heat inside can leave your skin feeling tight, itchy and uncomfortable. Here are some simple ways to protect and soothe your skin this winter:

• Moisturize often. Apply a thick, fragrance-free cream or ointment right after showering to lock in moisture.
• Keep showers short and lukewarm. Hot water strips your skin’s natural oils.
• Use a humidifier. Adding moisture to the air can help prevent dryness.
• Wear soft fabrics. Avoid wool or rough materials directly on your skin.
• Stay hydrated and eat well. A balanced diet helps nourish skin from the inside out.

If your skin becomes cracked, painful or doesn’t improve, it may be time to talk with a primary care provider (P*P). Need help finding a P*P? Visit the link in the comments or call 918-579-DOCS to schedule an appointment.

If you visited Hillcrest South this week, you may have seen these posters up across the hospital. They are part of our first nursing education symposium and feature an in-depth exploration of topics such as maternal health, geriatric emergency department accreditation and trauma-informed nursing. They showcase a year of continued learning and growth by our dedicated Clinical Advancement Program nurses. We're incredibly proud of our staff and their hard work!

Every year, we're excited to volunteer with the Bixby Police Department and the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) to help with Rotary Club of Bixby's Shop With A Cop event! The department uses fundraising money to buy Christmas gifts for area families.

Our volunteers were honored to join the department at Walmart on Saturday to collect the gifts that each child picked out. Happy holidays from Hillcrest South! 🎁

As the days get shorter and sunlight fades, many people notice changes in mood, energy and sleep.

You’re not alone — these could be signs of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), a type of depression linked to changes in seasons.

There are things you can try to ease the winter blues, like getting sunlight or using a light box, staying active, staying connected, and prioritizing sleep and routine, but sometimes you need to ask for help. Talking to a primary care provider (P*P) can help you find the right support or treatment. To find a P*P and schedule an appointment, visit the link in the comments or call 918-579-DOCS.

Hillcrest was proud to sponsor the Youth Medical Mentorship's Fall Sports Medicine Youth Summit! Around 200 students spent the day at Union High School with 16 community partners and dozens of volunteers, gaining hands-on experience with medical professionals.

Our team members from Hillcrest South, Oklahoma Heart Institute and Utica Park Clinic led the CPR/AED station, where students practiced CPR techniques, learned how to use an AED and observed the heart in real time through ultrasound imaging. We're always grateful for the opportunity to help encourage young minds and inspire them to pursue meaningful careers in medicine!
