What started here at Hospice of Green Country in 2007 as a program has grown into something so much bigger than we ever dreamed, and continues to help countless hospice patients nationwide through hospices all across our country. Thank you for all you do, Pet Peace of Mind!

💙🐾 Volunteer of the Year: RandiSue Van Winkle
We are honored to recognize RandiSue as Pet Peace of Mind’s Volunteer of the Year.
When a hospice patient with Peterson Health was heartbroken to be separated from his beloved service dog, Callie, RandiSue stepped in without hesitation, fostering Callie, ensuring she received critical medical care, and even supporting her through surgery.
But she didn’t stop there.
RandiSue made regular trips, nearly 50 miles, to reunite Callie with her human, bringing moments of pure joy and comfort during his final days. Because of her compassion, he was able to pass peacefully, knowing his best friend was safe, healthy, and loved.
Today, Callie is thriving in a new home, and RandiSue still receives videos and updates on her sweet girl.
This is what Pet Peace of Mind is all about. 💙
Thank you, RandiSue, for going above and beyond in every way. You are an amazing volunteer and very deserving of being Volunteer of the Year. Congratulations!
