The results are in! March’s RBTs of the Month are Amorette in our ECC and Jack in our Main Building!🎉

Amorette always arrives prepared to support any and every client to whom she is assigned. She speaks to every kiddo with respect while maintaining a calm, kind and supportive presence. She does a wonderful job balancing warmth with instructional control, helping to create a structured learning environment for our clients.

Jack has quickly become a very valuable member of the SOH team. He consistently shows kindness, patience and respect toward both his clients and coworkers. Since starting his RBT career, he has been assigned to various cases and approaches every session with a positive attitude and determination. His genuine care for the work and people around him is evident.

Our employees voted for two amazing RBTs that’s for sure!💪🏼Amorette and Jack, we are SOH grateful you are here. Thank you both for your hard work, positivity and care for our clients!💙

Let’s say hello to Maggie (COTA) and Amir!👋🏼 Maggie is helping Amir work on his spatial awareness and tactile input.

🪐Spatial awareness helps one understand their body in relation to their surroundings - supporting safety, movement and interaction with objects and people.

✋🏼Tactile input helps one sense touch, recognize what they’re feeling and identify objects without needing to see them.

What a great session, A+ work, you two!💯

Congrats to the other winners of our Soaring on Love New Year’s Raffle!🥳

Each winner received tickets to see a movie of their choice at Tulsa’s locally owned movie spot, Eton Square 6 Cinema!🎬

This theater is a hidden gem on 61st & Memorial, offering great movie and concession prices. Every theater even has tables between the seats so you can lounge and not stress about room for your snacks or potential spills!😅

A great choice for an evening with the family or weekend activity!🎉

Congratulations to AJ for graduating !🥳💬We and his SLP, Laura, are SOH proud of his hard work, courage, and growth.

There’s a new inclusive playground in Tulsa!🛝

Make your way on over to Bales Park at 5801 S. Union Ave. - a brand new accessible playground so children of all abilities can play, explore and grow together.🥳

Bales Park also has Tulsa’s first accessible softball field, soft-surface adaptive bike trails and a new Bike Club headquarters supporting youth biking programs.🚲

Bales Park is NOW OPEN but Tulsa Parks will be hosting a grand opening Friday, March 27th from 3-5PM with food and fun for all. What a great place for accessible fun!📱💙

Anthony (RBT) and TraAndre are building BIG skills!⚾️Through playing catch, they are targeting gross motor development, turn-taking, following instructions and making requests.

Activities like this provide endless opportunities to expand language by using core words like, “throw it,” “my turn,” “your turn,” “roll the ball,” and “again.”💬

TraAndre is also strengthening his discrimination skills with numbers and everyday objects to build accuracy and fluency.✅ Learning is best when it is engaging and meaningful, and this session definitely checked all the boxes!🙌🏾✨

This week, our littles in our ECC celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday by hosting a fun and creative art week!🎨📚

Clients were able to read, style their own “Thing” character, watch cartoons and make lots of crafts - all Dr. Seuss themed. We love making fun!🤩

For February’s Life Skills Day, our Dept. turned SOH into a Pizza Parlor!🍕

Clients were able to practice real-world skills like ordering food, making choices, following multi-step directions, waiting their turn and engaging with peers.

They loved making their very own pizzas! And they did so all while building independence, increasing fine motor skills and practicing self-help routines along the way!

Learning + pizza = a successful Life Skills Day!🙌🏼
