Sarah (SLP) and Erik are crushing it this session!💪🏼First, they used Sorting Crayons that each contained various objects of the same color to target describing items using descriptors such as what shape, smell or sound the object makes.🖍

Second, they used toy emergency vehicles to answer “wh” questions like: “What occupation does the driver of the vehicle have?” “What sort of tasks does that occupation handle?”🚔🚒

We’re celebrating our newest ABA graduate - Sebastian! 🎓✨

Sebastian was referred to ABA at just two years old to support his communication and social skills. When he started, he had a vocabulary of about three words. Through hard work and consistency, he grew his language in both English and Spanish to confidently express his wants and needs.

Fast forward to today - Sebastian is speaking in full sentences! Anyone who knows him knows he loves telling jokes, making people laugh, helping others and leading the group. He’s truly become a social butterfly and is now ready to attend school full-time.

Way to go, Sebastian! We are SOH proud of you and can’t wait to see all the amazing things you do next!🌟💙

¡Celebramos a nuestro nuevo graduado de ABA - Sebastian! 🎓✨

Sebastian fue referido a ABA a los dos años para apoyar su comunicación y habilidades sociales. Cuando comenzó, tenía un vocabulario de aproximadamente tres palabras. Con esfuerzo y constancia, desarrolló su lenguaje tanto en inglés como en español para expresar sus deseos y necesidades.

Hoy, Sebastian ya habla en oraciones completas. Quienes lo conocen saben que le encanta contar chistes, hacer reír a los demás, ayudar y liderar al grupo. Se ha convertido en toda una mariposa social y ahora está listo para asistir a la escuela de tiempo completo.

A round of applause for Colby for graduating !👏🏼🎉

Colby has reached and exceeded many of his goals including identifying and selecting sensory input to complete tasks, maintaining emotional regulation, increasing body awareness, navigating his environment with confidence and independence, engaging with peers, achieving independence with daily living activities like handwashing, dressing and tooth brushing and MORE.

We are SOH incredibly proud of him and excited to see him carry these skills into his everyday routines. Great work, Colby, you did it!💯

🎵Adriana, who is a woman with many talents! She is a church singer, nail technician, piñata-maker, baker and decorator. But, above all else, she loves helping others!

👻Nathalia, our OG since 2019! Nathalia loves to keep her coworkers on their toes by randomly scaring them. Quoting movies and TV shows is her third language. She loves sweets and anything mango-flavored.

📸Karen is a kind soul and always has a smile on her face. Her favorite color is green. She loves music, art, photography and mostly, her 5-year-old son!

⚾️Alex is a big San Francisco Giants fan! Her favorite thing to do is cook and bake with her three kids.

✈️Judy, our fabulous Intake Specialist. Judy has two sons and loves a good white chocolate mocha and binge-watching Grey’s Anatomy. She has dreams of moving to London someday!

🌲Ximena loves to go on walks and spend time with her daughter. She also loves trying out new hobbies and hanging out around town with her friends.

☕️🚫Monse has an 8-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son. Her favorite color is red and she DOES NOT like coffee!

This activity, though, targets more than creativity! It targets building postural control, improving balance, righting reactions and strengthening cognitive and social skills.💪🏼

We love supporting kiddos’ growth in by using play-based activities that encourage exploration and independence! Beautiful tree, girls!💖
