We’re proud to share another glowing review for our team in Arkansas!

“Drew listened to what I wanted to do concerning my manual wheelchair’s backrest, offered different backrest options, and also helped deal with my insurance to see if what I needed could be covered. Drew took the proper measurements and was very polite during the entire assessment. Completely satisfied with Action Seating & Mobility’s service for all my wheelchair needs.”

Thank you, Kim, for trusting us with your wheelchair! We’re so happy Drew could help you find the right backrest solution.

It’s not just pressure that causes skin breakdown; it’s often a hidden force called “shear.” Shear happens when your skin stays put on a cushion while your body slides, stretching deep tissue and damaging blood vessels you can’t see.

Protect your skin with these 3 tips:

• Tilt before you recline: If possible, try to tilt back slightly before reclining to keep your pelvis secure.
• Check your cover: Ensure you’re using a 4-way stretch fabric that moves with you.
• Keep your pelvis back: Sliding forward is the #1 cause of shear, so keep your pelvis at the back of your seat.

If you or your loved one is experiencing skin irritation or discomfort in their wheelchair, it might be time for an evaluation with our assertive technology experts to find the fit that’s right for you.

We love hearing how our team makes a difference, and this recent feedback from Noah’s family highlights exactly why we do what we do.

“Cary came out to our home to help us figure out what wheelchair would be best for Noah, and he was absolutely amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and made the whole process feel like a piece of cake. He explained everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and made sure we felt confident in the choices we were making.

I truly appreciate the care and professionalism he showed. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely knows what they’re doing and cares about helping families, Cary is the person you want. Highly recommended!”

Thank you so much, Chasity, for your kind words! We’re so glad Cary could help your family navigate this process with confidence.

We are incredibly humbled to share this review from Susie, a long-time client, who has trusted Action to be her partner for nearly 40 years.

“Justin Sellars is WONDERFUL!!! He (and Rusty Jones) have helped me with my wheelchair needs for almost 40 years and I would never consider going to any one else!!! These guys are top notch and know their business!!! They are kind, sensitive, and sharp as tacks about wheelchairs and how to help each person with their individual needs. They never pressure and look forward to giving each customer the best possible care.”

Thanks so much, Susie! Here’s to many more years of keeping you moving!

A tilt-in-space wheelchair is designed to change how someone sits, without changing how their body is positioned in the chair.

Instead of adjusting the back or seat independently, the entire seating system tilts backward as one unit.

They’re great for supporting proper breathing, redistributing pressure, and even digestion.

If a tilt-in-space sounds like it might be a good fit for you, your loved one, or your client, reach out to us today at: https://actionseating.net/contact/

Transitions in care can be a challenging journey, but you don't have to navigate them alone.

We were so touched to receive this feedback regarding a recent experience with our team:

“Lori is amazing to work with. My daughter has been in hospital 55 days & counting. She has worked with us and the hospital. She truly listens to her client and helps to make everything go smoothly. We appreciate her professional attitude and how quickly she gets things done. She is wonderful to work with. I definitely will recommend her to anyone who needs a wheelchair properly designed to fit the person.”

Thanks so much, Vanessa, for your kind words. We’re thrilled that you had such a great experience and we’re grateful for your stellar review!

As children with cerebral palsy grow, if their wheelchair and other assistive tech doesn’t grow with them, it can become a daily source of pain and interruption.

Regular evaluations help ensure their wheelchair continues to support comfort, function, and access to the activities that matter most.

At Action, we believe that mobility care shouldn't stop at our front door. Sometimes, that means meeting you exactly where you are to ensure you’re taken care of. 🤝✨

“Brian is amazing! Twice we have met Brian. The first time was in rehab and he tried to fix a loaner chair specifically for my husband while his is being manufactured. My husband was unable to get in the chair so Brian did the best he could with measurements in the bed. He got pretty close! Today, Brian brought us the chair at home because it was left at rehab. Would definitely recommend Brian and Action Seating! Great people to work with.”

Thank you, Angela, for your kind review and for trusting us with your husband’s mobility needs. We are honored to be part of your journey!

A poorly-fitting or worn out wheelchair or cushions can cause pressure sores to form in as little as 2 hours, but can take months to heal.

Here are a few key things to look out for.

Worn-out cushion:
If you can feel the base of the chair through your cushion, it’s time for a replacement.

Redness:
Skin that stays red for more than 20 minutes after transferring.

Friction or discomfort:
If you’ve got a cushion or part of your chair that’s rubbing, scraping, or pushing in against you, you could be at risk.

Don't wait for pain to be the signal, let’s check your fit today: https://actionseating.net/schedule-evaluation/
