Meet the Team: This fun lady is our lactation consultant, Heather Borsuk! Also, lovingly referred to as Ho**er Heather, The B**b Lady and some other less appropriate ones I’ll spare you 😬. If you’ve ever had a session with her, you already know she brings the perfect mix of knowledge, kindness and high energy to every mom and baby she works with. She has a true passion for helping breastfeeding families thrive-and she does it with a smile, gentle touch and an enthusiasm that puts everyone at ease. December is her birthday month, so if you see her around Breathe, make sure to give her a big Happy Birthday!! 🎉
A little about Heather: She started with Breathe in February of 2020. She moved from California to OK and was looking to restart her Lactation practice. She found Breathe and fell in love with the mission and the team. She had a spur of the moment job interview when she just showed up at the center during a birth and was able to help the mom and baby latch successfully after several failed attempts. She literally showed up one day and was like, “Hey, I’m an IBCLC, you guys have a need here for that?” 😬 And in true, trustful Regina fashion, she was like-absolutely, I don’t know you but I have a mom in the back struggling right now! 🤣 (I love that story so much)
She has been working in the Lactation field since 2009 and has helped thousands of family’s transition into parenthood successfully. Breastfeeding helped her heal and recover from her own traumatic cesarean birth. She realized how much new moms need support as they transition into this wonderful yet challenging time in life. Breastfeeding can be the most profound experience between a mom and baby when it is successful. Heather’s passion is to help moms experience this beautiful bond with their babies. She has specialized training in oral rehabilitation for infants with tongue ties and other oral restrictions, complicated hormonal lactation issues and infections, low milk supply and oversupply, ni**le and breast pain, pumping, triple feeding, relactation and adoptive breastfeeding as well as other complicated breastfeeding issues.
We love you Heather!!! 🫶🏼💗
