Join us for a day of exploring mythology from the lens of Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell. We will discover how myth/story works in our lives. Explore our personal mythology/story that we are always creating. We will identify images that give meaning to our stories. Each participant will create an art piece to take home. Lisa’s studio is a magical place of creation. Art supplies are provided and finally we each will share our stories together.

Coyote stands on the threshold in the in-between. At home in both worlds, with one foot in the East, the place of the numinous, and one in the West, in the place of the dark. Representing conscious and unconscious. To the West he watches the sun setting, the blue sky turning to the dusk of twilight. He notices the fires being lit in the human encampment. His eyes are drawn to the flutter of wings in the sky above him. There he sees his friend Raven flying high. He knows it’s time. With a twitch of his tail, a glint in his eye, he makes a sly smile. Suddenly he lopes off toward the encampment; after all it’s the time for myth and story weaving.

As Joseph Campbell said: “Follow your bliss.” Mythology tells truths we might not otherwise see. I’ll be posting about stories and archetypes more soon – till then…
