Continuing:
By the way, this is a TRUE STORY, as seen by my perspective.
I told the PA that I didn’t want to be dizzy. At the time I was working sometimes twelve to fourteen days in a row. I know that was a lot but I had the energy for it. Because of how and why I was working so much, I was by no way getting rich or wealthy. (If you don’t know me difference I can explain that to you later.)
I remember during this time, I was doing chair massages at my church for donations (which initially all went directly to the church). I was about to work on my pastor’s wife when I got extremely dizzy and had to sit down. It took me a little while to recover but did and finished the massage. That was a scary feeling.
I never actually fainted or blacked out but I didn’t like feeling dizzy.
That did occur at work from time to time but never lasted that long. So after telling the PA that medicine was making me dizzy she still insisted I take the medicine as prescribed. Which I tried to suggest an alternative but she didn’t want to hear that. I believe this was my third visit seeing her. The next thing I know I get a form letter from the clinic stating that I was a none compliant client and they would not continue to see me.
So after a thirteen year relationship with my doctor and a three visit experience with the PA, I was dismissed by the PA. Even if it was ten visits, I was offered no alternative. So I definitely know the meaning of “it’s my way or the highway “. I find it horrible that you can’t be an advocate for yourself. Instead you are labeled noncompliant if you want something better for yourself. I also noticed that doctors are very slow to change medications even if they aren’t working well for you. I would love to understand WHY!
That’s all for now. I guess the word for today ended up being the word for the week.
