🔥 BIG WIN for Sully today! 🔥

Sully hit his first technically sound deadlift since we started training—and the journey to get there has been awesome to watch.

Before we ever touched a barbell, we built the movement from the ground up using what we call “Table Practice.”

Here’s how we built it:
• Coach demonstration with objects placed on the back
• Athletes learn the hip hinge by keeping objects from rolling or falling
• Progression to harder objects (yes… even a ball!)
• Reinforces scapular retraction, strong posture, and spinal stability
• Then we add movement
• Finally… the barbell deadlift

And today Sully nailed it. 💪

Watching athletes build a skill step-by-step and then execute it under the bar is what this place is all about.

This is Will’s game face.

The face of an athlete who shows up every day with a smile, ready to work and have fun doing it.

The face of bravery — having the courage not to back down when his coach asks him to do hard things.

The face of kindness — when his friends arrive to train, he stops whatever he’s doing just to greet them with the same excitement he walked in with.

The face of determination — facing challenges many of us don’t understand and stresses we may never feel, yet still being one of the first to give a hug to a fellow gym-goer.

The face of pure positivity — believing that he, his friends, and his coach can accomplish anything they set their minds to.

This is a face — like so many others in this gym — that makes this place one of the most special communities I’ve ever been a part of.

Jeff’s story isn’t uncommon.

“I’ll never be able to squat low.”
“I can’t squat heavy.”
“My back is too weak.”

These are phrases I hear all the time from people who have been told their bodies are broken — that aches and pains are just something they’ll have to live with forever.

And while it’s true that some injuries can have lasting effects, many of the limitations people believe about themselves simply aren’t permanent.

More often than not, everyday aches and pains can improve dramatically through intentional movement, smart strength training, and a long-term plan.

The body is far more adaptable than most people realize.

Sometimes it just needs the right approach.

Here is a cool game to play in the gym or at home with your youngster that we also use at our facility get the mind, body, and spirit all warmed up!

Essentially it’s movement “Horse” and you alternate who makes the decisions! 💪

Megan Myers has vastly improved her technique in her time with B. Wise Fitness, LLC. Not only is she faster, overall due to her added strength, she has improved her neuromuscular efficiency with stronger knee drive, improved balance through mid-stance phase.
