Dear Patient,
After more than four and a half decades in medicine and over thirty years devoted to hip and knee reconstruction, Dr. Rodney L. Plaster is announcing his retirement from active clinical practice at Oklahoma Surgical Hospital and Premier Orthopedic Specialists of Tulsa, effective March 31, 2026. His patients will be referred to his son, Dr. Scott Plaster.
This decision comes with a full heart and deep gratitude for the privilege of caring for so many patients and families in Tulsa and across Oklahoma.
Dr. Plaster extends his deepest thanks to the thousands of patients who have entrusted him with their care, often through some of their most vulnerable and challenging moments. It has been an honor to listen to their stories, share in their goals, and walk with them from preoperative anxiety to postoperative recovery and renewed mobility.
He is equally grateful to his physician assistants, nurses, therapists, operating room teams, and administrative staff whose skill and dedication made excellent care possible every day.
With sincere appreciation for a remarkable career made possible by his patients, colleagues, and community, we wish Dr. Rodney Plaster a happy retirement.
