This is a beauty! This is an antique left prosthetic female arm constructed almost entirely of leather. The hand features a moving opposable thumb and the position of the fingers are a delicate relaxed pose. The hand is entirely removable at the wrist should a different tool or hand need to be placed. The arm is in almost perfect condition for age with expected wear and hairline cracking to the biased leather edges.

An orthotist is an allied health professional who is specifically trained and educated to provide custom-designed orthoses (external orthopedic braces) and related patient care.
A prosthetist is an allied health professional who is specifically trained and educated to provide custom-designed external prostheses (artificial limbs) and related patient care.
An orthotist/prosthetist is an allied health professional who is trained to custom make and fit both orthoses and prostheses. When referring to a single- or dual-credentialed O&P professional, one is often referred to as an O&P practitioner.
