"Men account for higher rates of nearly all major chronic diseases — yet nearly two-thirds admit that they avoid going to the doctor for as long as possible, according to a Cleveland Clinic survey.

Physicians warn that once men enter their 40s, routine screenings become essential for spotting problems early, before preventable conditions turn life-threatening.

"When it comes to preventing heart attacks, strokes, fatigue, erectile dysfunction, metabolic disease and early aging, testing is essential," Dr. Jack Wolfson, a cardiologist in Arizona, told Fox News Digital. "Most men have no idea what’s happening inside their bodies until it’s too late.""

Men face higher chronic disease rates after 40. Learn which medical tests doctors say are vital for preventing heart attacks, strokes and cancer.

"A healthy mouth is also key to a healthy body, as gum disease has been linked to non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, rheumatoid arthritis and Alzheimer's. Growing evidence shows that periodontitis - a severe form of gum disease - is also associated with erectile dysfunction and possibly prostate cancer, highlighting once again how closely oral health is connected to overall health. Men with periodontitis are two to three times more likely to experience erectile dysfunction, according to recent analyses."

If you are experiencing ED, please call our office to make an appointment for one of our two clinics (midtown and BA): 918.622.2500.

"Anti-obesity medications can significantly raise testosterone levels and improve health outcomes for men with obesity or type 2 diabetes, according to a new study being presented Monday at ENDO 2025, the Endocrine Society's annual meeting in San Francisco, Calif.

Testosterone not only plays a critical role in the body when it comes to male s*xual functioning, but it can also have an impact on an individual's bone mass, fat distribution, muscle mass, strength and red blood cell production. Increases in body weight and prevalence of type 2 diabetes are often associated with lowered testosterone levels, resulting in fatigue, decreased libido and quality of life."

At Center for Men we offer treatment options for low testosterone and erectile dysfunction including GLP1's. To request an appointment please call 918.622.2500.
