Vision Care of Tulsa - Dr. Steven Cartmell We provide eye exams, contact lens evaluations, and all your comprehensive eye care needs. We also He has been married since 1983 and has two daughters.

Dr. Cartmell graduated in 1986 as an honor student for academic achievement and as an honored member of the 1986 class by the Dean of the Optometry school and president of NSU. In addition Dr. Cartmell earned special awards in glaucoma research. Dr. Cartmell has been a member of the American Optometric Association and Oklahoma Association of Optometric physicians for more than 25 years. He enjoys spending time with them and enjoying the outdoors. Dr. Cartmell's goal as an optometrist has always been to do everything in his power to satisfy the eye care needs of his patients.

Please think twice before using non-prescription colored contacts to compliment a Halloween costume! In addition to being illegal, these lenses are frequently contaminated. In 2017, the Food and Drug Administration published a study revealing that a majority of unapproved, counterfeit contact lenses tested positive for the kinds of microbial contamination frequently found in hospital wastewater or spoiled food. Now that's scary! Talk to your optometrist if you think you need contacts and be sure to get a prescription for any lens you wear.
