Carolyn was admitted to Tunkhannock Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center after a fall at home, arriving from Geisinger Wyoming Valley.
After just 20 days of rehabilitation and nursing care, she made great progress and is now returning home, safely and independently.
During her stay, Carolyn focused on rebuilding her strength and even enjoyed a ride in Tunkhannock’s new van for a follow-up appointment.
Carolyn shared, “The employees are very good and excellent helpers.”
Congratulations, Carolyn! We wish you all the best in your continued recovery.

We are so proud to share this incredible initiative started right here in our community 💙

Our Activities Director, Hannah, recently partnered with a local Girl Scout troop to help bring a meaningful Silver Award project to life. After brainstorming together, Senior Smile Boxes were created—thoughtful care packages designed to brighten the days of our residents and seniors throughout the community.

Each box is filled with simple but meaningful items like cozy socks, puzzles, lotions, and activities that bring comfort, joy, and connection. It’s a beautiful reminder that even small gestures can make a big impact.

This program was created by Zeva and Ali, and their goal is to keep the smiles going by encouraging others to donate or host their own packing events. We love seeing younger generations giving back in such a heartfelt way!

Our new set of wheels officially hit the road! 🚐☀️

Yesterday, our facility van took its very first trip—bringing our resident John safely to his doctor’s appointment.

Shoutout to Amanda, our amazing CNA and now designated driver, and Tim, our maintenance director, for joining in on this special first ride!

Cold air, bright sunshine, and a smooth first journey… we’d call that a success 💙

We had a special visit from our friends at Pattie’s Waggin’ Tails Senior Sanctuary last week! 🐾

Our residents loved meeting these three new visitors — Neiman, Bam Bam, and Lexi.

Neiman quickly stole the show with the cutest little move, weaving his way around residents’ feet and wheelchairs like a pro (make sure to watch the video!). Bam Bam and Lexi were just as sweet, soaking up all the pets, smiles, and attention.

Pet therapy days always bring so much joy to our halls. Thank you to Pattie’s Waggin’ Tails for sharing these wonderful pups with us! ❤️🐶
