Maynord’s Recovery Center has been leading the way in substance abuse and addiction treatment services for 35 years. Helping men and women over the age of 18 abstain from the use of drugs and alcohol and maintain long term sobriety.Located near Yosemite National Forest and in the foothills in the Sierra Nevada our 22 acre ranch is in a serene setting with walking trails around a beautiful pond, there is a basketball court, Volleyball court with sand, plenty of outside sports equipment and an exercise room. We have developed a unique approach to drug and alcohol treatment through Peer support, Individual and group counseling followed up with family program. 2 years of continuing care is strongly suggested. We also have structured Clean and Sober living homes available upon completion of our treatment program over the years they have been proven to have a very high success rates for those who choose to live in a safe drug and alcohol free environment. Most treatment centers have programs that replicate and limit what they offer to their clientele, but at Maynord’s Recovery Center we have set ourselves apart from this repetitive process by incorporating Serenity retreats, long term continuing care, sober living and our yearly Round Up where our alumni, family and friends get together and camp out at Maynord’s for a weekend of fun filled activities for all. Our staff knows the disease of addiction, and they also know that not everyone is the same and we take that in consideration when helping you create your treatment plan.

Meet Emmalee Kirk, one of Maynords dedicated Alcohol and Other Drug Counselors ☺️

Emmalee combines professional training with lived experience in recovery. She takes a holistic approach to healing, addressing the mind,body,and spirit, while integrating evidence-based practices like DBT,CBT, and mindfulness.

Emmalee is passionate about creating safe,supportive spaces where clients can explore root causes, rebuild self-worth, and develop sustainable tools for long-term recovery ❤️‍🩹

Emmalee’s work is grounded in empathy, authenticity, and the belief that recovery is not just about abstinence, but transformation.

We are so grateful to have Emmalee on the Maynords team!

One of the most powerful aspects of the social model of recovery at Maynords is that healing happens through community. When someone arrives on day 1 of treatment, they can look around and see others who are 28 days sober who are thriving, healing, and rebuilding their lives.

That’s what makes recovery here so real: it’s visible. It’s living proof that addiction treatment works and that hope and transformation are possible for everyone. 🌞

Happy Birthday to our founder, Joan Maynord 💛

Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Mama Joan: a woman whose compassion, courage, and vision laid the foundation for everything we do at Maynords Recovery Center.

She believed healing should feel like home. She created a place where people could find safety, connection, and the freedom to begin again. Not just in sobriety, but in life.

Her adventurous spirit showed up in everything she did from driving buses and competing in rodeos, to learning to ride her Harley at 70 years old. But what truly defined her was her heart. Joan made everyone feel seen, valued, and capable of change.

Today, three generations later, we continue her mission with the same love and dedication she poured into every person who walked through our doors.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Mama Joan — your light still guides us every day. 💫

Today we’re honoring her with a very special Café Dinner Night, with a beautiful cake and table setting to celebrate the beautiful person she was!

October is the 10th month and a good time to reflect on Step 10:

“Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.”

This step reminds us that recovery is a daily practice. It’s about staying honest with ourselves, recognizing when we’ve fallen short, and making things right before small slips become setbacks. Every day is another chance to grow. 🌿
