Such a great morning at the Itswamba Co. Extension Office’s Annual Senior Fair! We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to be there, connect with so many wonderful people, and represent Sanctuary Hospice.

Events like these are such a blessing and a reminder of how important community connections truly are. Looking forward to continuing to build relationships and serve our communities 💛

What a wonderful it has been 💛

This week has been full of so much fun, laughter, sweet moments, and wonderful people. From carnivals to garden parties to western cowboy parties, and lots of sweet treats, this week has been packed full of so many fun celebrations and memories. We’ve loved getting to celebrate these facilities, residents, staff, and just be part of such a special week.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed us in and helped make this week so memorable. We truly enjoyed every minute of it 💛

This Nurses Week, we also want to celebrate the incredible facility nurses across North Mississippi that we are blessed to partner with each day. 💙 These pics are from just a few of the many we visited this week 🥰

From skilled nursing facilities to assisted living communities, nurses work tirelessly to keep their residents healthy, comforted, cared for, and deeply loved. Their compassion, patience, and dedication make a difference not only for patients, but for families and fellow caregivers as well.

We are so thankful for the partnership we share with our amazing facility teams and for the way they work alongside our Sanctuary Home Hospice staff.

Thank you for the long shifts, the tender moments, the advocacy, the hugs, the late nights, and the hearts you pour into your calling. We see you, we appreciate you, and we are grateful for you. 💐

As Nurses Week comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank the incredible nurses who are part of our Sanctuary Hospice family. Hospice work is not always easy, but our nurses show up each day with grace, compassion, dedication, and love for the patients and families they serve.

Thank you for the comfort you bring, the hands you hold, the tears you share, and the difference you make every single day. We are beyond grateful for all of these and more (who snuck away without pics 😜)! 💛💛

Today, we honor the life and legacy of a woman whose fingerprints are forever on the heart of Sanctuary Hospice, Louise Harris. ❤️

In 2000, while serving on a mission trip to Mexico City, Louise was part of a group who witnessed a hospice house model of care that planted a seed in their hearts. The question became: “If they can do this there, why can’t we do this at home?”

From that moment forward, Louise and a precious group of founders answered that question with action, faith, determination, and love. They dared to dream, and then they led the charge that ultimately became Sanctuary Hospice.

Louise never stopped being part of the heartbeat of this ministry. She and Smitty gave countless hours, endless love, unwavering support, and a servant’s heart that helped shape not only this organization, but the very culture that defines us still today.

We often say that we stand on the shoulders of giants here at Sanctuary, and we do not take that lightly. The compassion, sacrifice, and dedication of people like Louise are woven into the fabric of who we are.

It has been one of our greatest honors to care for those who cared so deeply for this organization and mission.

Please join us in praying for Louise’s family and many friends during this difficult time. And as we remember her incredible life, we simply say… thank you.

Thank you for helping create a place that has brought comfort, dignity, and love to thousands of families. ❤️
