We treat MELASMA❤️‍🩹

Melasma is a common skin condition characterized by brown or gray-brown patches on the face. ☀️

Lots of factors are believed to contribute to melasma. ☀️Here are a few to be aware of. 🙅🏻‍♀️

Sun exposure: Ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun stimulates the production of melanin, the pigment that gives skin its color. ☀️

Hormonal changes: Fluctuations in estrogen and progesterone levels, such as during pregnancy, menopause, or while taking certain birth control pills, can trigger melasma. ❤️

Genetics: Some people may have a genetic predisposition to developing melasma. 😣

Certain medications: Some medications, such as anticonvulsants and oral contraceptives, can increase the risk of melasma. 😒

Inflammation: Skin inflammation, such as from acne or eczema, can also contribute to melasma.

Tanning beds: Artificial UV radiation from tanning beds can worsen melasma. ⚠️
