Congrats to the Northwest Community College (NWCC) Rangers on winning the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference state championship last week, defeating Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College 16-13.

After the game, NWCC head coach Benjy Parker was named the National Junior College Athletic Association's (NJCAA) Region 23 Coach of the Year!

The Rangers are the sole Mississippi team heading to the NJCAA Division I title games next month.

We’ve seen patients get creative… but this might be a first! 🎣

One of our patients turned his K-wire into a fishing lure—talk about making the most of a tough situation.

A K wire, or Kirschner wire, is a thin, stiff surgical pin used in orthopedic surgery to temporarily hold broken bones in a corrected position so they can heal.

We’ll stick to fixing bones, but we’ve got to admit… that lure looks like it could catch a big one!

Today marks an exciting milestone as Dr. Lensing successfully completed the first clinical kyphoplasty procedure in our brand-new Oxford facility.

Founded in 2015 in Tupelo, MS, Specialty Orthopedic Group (SOG) has grown from two doctors and three employees to a team of over 100 people and three locations. With nine surgeons, three nurse practitioners, and one physician’s assistant, SOG is the largest group of sub-specialized surgeons in north Mississippi and is home to the only privately-owned outpatient surgery center in north Mississippi.
