Quiche, coffee, and fellowship with Mindy, Miranda, and Molitha. What a transcendent morning we shared with each other! The conversation was effortless, the quiche was sublime, and the coffee was robust, but the company was truly divine!

Meals on Wheels of Lee County, an outreach ministry of Mississippi Methodist Senior Services, is truly grateful for the $50,000 grant from E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation.

On July 8, 2025, John Richter, Division Manager for Carpenter Company, and Jeremy Gardner, Sales Representative for Carpenter Company, presented the check to Ashley McDaniel, Executive Director for Meals on Wheels of Lee County.

Five days a week, over a hundred senior adults in Lee county area experience hot, nutritional meals delivered by volunteers.

Volunteers’ visits are more than delivering a hot meal. They provide smiles, hugs, and safety checks.
