We have mentioned this before, but it bears repeating. Pelvic floor muscles must be relaxed to allow for the passive flow of urine. When you’re stressed, your body goes into fight or flight which causes increased muscle tension. This can lead to stress incontinence. Talk to your pelvic floor therapist today about exercises to prevent or heal this problem.

As the belly grows, you do not have to quit exercising, but you can modify the workouts to decrease pressure on the pelvic floor.
If your workouts are causing leaking, pelvic heaviness/pressure, or bulging at the belly, it is best to swap to low impact options like walking, swimming or prenatal strength.

Pelvic floor therapist can teach you how to push effectively, reduce risk of tearing, and support postpartum recovery.
They are also helpful for managing round ligament pain, p***c symphysis dysfunction, SI joint pain, and incontinence.
