Aguiar Milk Testing is a partnership of 2 sisters: Lucia & Cecilia Aguiar. Our Dad tested cows for the DHIA 35 years ago, and a few years later he started his own private venture. We were 5 & 4 years old at the time. We grew up testing cows... so when people ask how long we've been doing this, the answer is "our whole lives". Narciso has been working with us for over 15 years, and his brother Edgar has been with us for over 13. We Love our team :) We are family! We have a small lab, but it's all new. We can test for percentage of butterfat, protein, lactose, solids, MUN & SCCsomatic cell count! Now we have added milk pregnancy testing and bacterial culturing to our lab. We can also collect the milk samples for bacterial testing, whether we test it ourselves or you send it to a different lab is up to you! We use gloves, alcohol wipes, and sterile 2 oz vials to collect samples. We use primarily Tru-test meters, all of which are DHIA certified. Our testers are DHIA certified too! We test dairy herds from 200 cows to 20,000 cows... no exaggeration! :)
