Okay contact lens wearers— you know who you are 🤣🤣🤣

But seriously don’t get mad at us- every eye doctor will tell you the same thing. Take your contacts out at bedtime!

And why do we tell you this? Because we care about your eyes and want them to stay healthy and happy!

Modern contacts are so comfortable and life is so busy, sometimes you might forget they are even there. We get it. But with over twenty years of clinical practice, we’ve seen all the ugly things contact lens overwear can do to eyes, so trust us!

For this clinical rotation we have two energetic interns from Claire and Alissa are interested in ocular disease. This rotation has been beneficial in learning how to diagnose and manage uveitis as well as getting firsthand experience with corneal conditions like keratoconus.

In their limited free time, Claire has enjoyed exploring the California coast while Alissa has been rock climbing in Yosemite.

BIG NEWS - We’re combining our two locations into one- right across the street!

In spring/summer 2026, we’ll be saying a fond farewell to our longtime home at 2020 Colorado Ave. as we fully transition into our newer, more spacious clinic just steps away.

You can look forward to improved parking and more exam rooms. Our phone number, doctors, staff, and the exceptional care you’ve come to expect will stay the same. Your medical records will transfer securely, and there’s nothing you need to do.

Thank you for being part of our journey - we can’t wait to welcome you to our updated space!

We will be closed Monday, so please come pick up all your glasses orders on Friday at 4PM so that there is a major rush in the optical and everyone has to clock out late.

But really - please don’t do that! We want to get everyone home to their families and on with their weekend plans both happy & relaxed.

People are often shocked to hear that HSV can infect your eye, although it’s more common than you’d think.

HSV can be a tricky virus as it displays itself in quite a variety of ways including masquerading itself as a different condition altogether.

The doctor needs a microscope and other diagnostics like special dyes to determine what condition you might have and what your treatment options are.

An in-person appointment with an eye specialist is needed for a proper evaluation, you wouldn’t see something like this without it!

MY- BOW- ME- AN
