Drs. Ruth and Warren are pictured with Drs. Martin Rosen and Nancy Watson at the completion of the SOT Pediatric Practitioner Certification Seminar. They recently completed the seminar series which is an advanced certification program specific to treating pediatric patients. Dr Ruth is excited to focus on infants and children under the age of 7 (including cranial work). Dr. Warren will be using this certification to compliment his work with teenage athletes. May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month! This link provides some tools to prevent exposure to Lyme disease and combat tick related illness!

We are currently providing urgent care only, however the office is staffed (we are now answering the phone!!!) and scheduling routine care for the week of 05/18/20. Many precautions are being made to keep your visit healthy as we have installed spray shields at the front desk and have many protocols in place to limit exposure to contagions. Hello everyone!! We miss seeing you and thought you would like a COVID-19 update regarding our availability for chiropractic care. As you know Governor Mills has extended the State of Civil Emergency until May 15th and although we are considered an essential business she urges us to postpone any non-urgent healthcare appointments. So we will continue to be available to those folks who are experiencing severe discomfort, limited mobility or other extreme distress by calling our after-hours phone, 207-440-4839 to make an appointment. All of the social distancing efforts seem to be having a positive impact and please know that "it's gonna be ok"!! We will make every effort to keep you informed of any changes in these directives so we can get back to a regular schedule in a safe and health-promoting manner!

As shelter in place measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 have become more stringent Varney Chiropractic will be implementing new measures which include:

1. Urgent care will end this Friday 03/27/20. Urgent care is described as those who are experiencing pain or fear their condition will flare up if they do not receive treatment.

2. We are no long accepting new patients, we will be glad to take your information and contact you when we return to regular office hours.

3. Effective 3/30/2020 the office will be closed and no personnel will be present. The emergency phone will be available for those individuals who need attention. Please know you will receive a response if you call our emergency #: 207.440.4839.

We regret not being available to continue chiropractic care for our community, but during this time it is more important to keep the spread of COVID-19 to a minimum and keep high-risk individuals safe. We will be sending weekly updates and continue periodic posts to provide information to promote health and well being.

Varney Chiropractic is committed to the health of our community. We continue to monitor the COVID19 coronivirus and are following recommended guidelines. Governor Mills has requested healthcare be limited to urgent care only to help slow the spread of this virus. Our office will be enacting the following policies to ensure our community has access to necessary care in a safe environment:

1. For the next two weeks we will be treating urgent care patients only. Our office hours will be 8 am - 12 pm for those who are experiencing uncomfortable symptoms. At this time we plan to return to regular office hours on March 30th, however this is subject to change.

2. We have rearranged our office to allow for social distancing and increased our regular hygiene protocols. We will be asking staff, visitors & patients who display the following symptoms to avoid our office to help prevent the potential spread of the virus:
- Cough
- Fever
- Chills
- Stuffy Nose
- Sore Throat

We will modify these restrictions as we continue to monitor and comply with health agency guidelines. Thank you for helping us keep our community healthy!
