Gracefully Aging Yoga Gail Portrey has been practicing yoga for more than 40 years. She also has an advanced certificate in Therapeutic Yoga.

She has trained in numerous styles, including Gentle Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Tune-up, Hatha, Chair yoga, and Vinyasa Flow. Gail Portrey, C-IAYT

Gail Portrey has been practicing yoga for more than 40 years. She also has an advanced certificate in Therapeutic Yoga and specializes in yoga for the osteoporosis challenged. She is drawn to yoga through a deep desire to achieve personal transformation and to address individual health issues for her students. Gail has studied with a variety of teachers in Los Angeles, California (including her 200 hour training at Yoga Blend), Therapeutic Yoga at White Lotus in Santa Barbara. She has also completed a 100 hour training curriculum at Loyola Marymount University with the internationally renowned Srivatsa Ramiswami, one of the last remaining teachers who trained with Sri T. Krishnamacharya in the ancient Indian traditions of breathing and the sutras. She has also completed the YOGA TUNEUP training and certification process. Her meditation techniques were developed studying with Deepak Chopra, Tara Brach and others. Sessions combine breath work and meditation as well as stretching, strengthening and relaxation.
